Trent? ‏@trentylocks
Now that I'm fired I can finally say it: Kofi Kingston is an asshole.

Not sure if serious?

Ya it looks serious. He tweeted about being fired on the 11th. His Twitter says he's a professional wrestler and his name isn't Baretta anymore.

If Kofi really is an asshole, he should be a heel - cause I think he sucks as a face.

I watched the bio portion of his DVD on Netflix a couple years ago. I remember saying he's a natural heel with a look and skillset (Olsen) of a face.

Among board members that have purchased wrestling shirts in the last five years, that is probably the most wife friendly. It certainly trumps CIJ's entire collection.

The entire Jerry Lawler affliction collection?

I presume CiJ's got that for Christmas.

The closest they came was his feud with Orton. I think they were contemplating a double turn, but they abandoned it the next week.

KS, I gave some thought to my reaction to the Cena v Ziggler match. My explanation kind of sucked. Did that match make Ziggler look strong. No. Not at all. But he could stay over with that defeat. My main point, which I did a horrible job of explaining, is he could come back the next night strong and all is forgiven. If the machine is behind him, that stuff doesn't matter. I just saw a thing that Ziggler lost the most televised matches in 2012. Did anyone notice? No. He had the briefcase, and support. That's why I said he's the perfect foil to rebuild Cena. Who, by the way, lost almost every big match last year. This stuff is predetermined in a shocking turn of events. Wins and losses don't mean much.

That's also part of the reason new guys aren't able to get over anymore.

Wins and losses are so interchangeable that there's no reason for fans to care about either outcome.

The obvious exception has been Ryback, but that was the wrong guy to grow like that.

Too late for Ziggler, but what if you started a new Mr. Perfect gimmick? A guy that can actually work that doesn't lose? What if you start two undefeated streaks around Survivor Series this year? Two debuting guys. One face, one heel, on opposite shows. (I know they're basically combined) The two streaks culminate at WM, but even the loser is built.

I immediately thought of Elijah Burke/Pope Dinero, but you said "effective", so he's out.

Slow turn. A few losses, similar to the knockout squash with Show. He comes out for about a month to 1 1/2 months no-selling the pyro. A little more each time. He starts teaming at times with strange partners. Ultimately, he turns on Cena. He needs a huge second, preferably white to avoid obvious stereotyping. He slowly starts to accumulate unappreciated faces like Ryder. They do horrific PG things. Almost like a Superstar JobSquad. Much of the time, Kofi is laying back watching it happen. But when put into action, he's a mild badass. But to win, he always needs the bodyguard's help. The bodyguard only gets involved once per match. Within nine months, Kofi is a top heel. Especially if he knocks up Stephanie on the first day of that run.

Report on Brock Lesnar's future after WM29 - will he re-sign?, how will WM29 be affected?

Jan 17, 2013 - 3:19:40 AM

By James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor

WWE wants to sign Brock Lesnar for another year after WrestleMania in April. Whether or not Lesnar signs could affect WrestleMania 29 plans, according to the Wrestling Observer.

Lesnar, who is expected to return to WWE TV in February, is scheduled to face Triple H in a Summerslam re-match at Mania, and the finish could depend on whether Lesnar signs through to WM30.

Lesnar reportedly wants to wait until the last possible moment to negotiate and decide whether he wants to return for another year. The new deal would essentially be the same as his WM28 to WM29 deal - a handful of TV appearances and big PPV matches.

If Lesnar is locked up for another year, two big matches being talked about are Lesnar vs. C.M. Punk and Lesnar vs. The Undertaker.

Although Lesnar vs. Taker has potential to be a big PPV draw - especially after their infamous run-in at UFC 121 in October 2010 that could be incorporated into the TV build-up - Taker's physical condition would be the key to whether the match takes place.

According to the Observer, Undertaker is "really hurting bad" and Lesnar's very physical style might not work for Taker at this stage of his career.

There's been a lot of speculation as to why Alberto Del Rio was made World Heavyweight Champion, but the real story behind the scenes is that Big Show could not come to terms with WWE on a new contract. Since Big Show's contract was running out, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon made the decision to crown Del Rio the new champion. At the time of the taping in Miami, that was actually considered potentially to be Big Show's last match in WWE. Later in the week, the company and Big Show came to terms, and he hasn't missed any shows.

We heard from one source on the writing team that the company was very angry the negotiations went all the way to the breaking point, but now that Del Rio has been crowned champion "the plans have changed, as Del Rio is the focus of the show going forward."

CM Punk Trains Jiu-Jitsu With Al Bundy, Kofi Kingston & Trent Barreta Talk Trash

By Michael Bluth Jan 17, 2013 - 9:00:46 PM

- Former WWE Star Trent Barreta took a swipe at Kofi Kingston on his Twitter earlier today, writing, "Now that I'm fired I can finally say it: Kofi Kingston is an a-shole." Kingston then later replied with, "@trentylocks I never wanted to shake hands with you...," to which Barreta replied, "@TrueKofi yea. And we won't ever again." Barreta and Kingston used to be travel buddies, so it's very likely this is just a joke.

- WWE Champion CM Punk visited the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Torrance, California this week and trained with none other than television legend Ed "Al Bundy" O'Neill.

The 66 year old television star has been an avid Mixed Martial Artist for years and and has been training at the Gracie Academy since 2011 and has a weekly private lesson with Rorion Gracie.

I really wish I could share how great our idea from last night at poker of how great Deaf Heel Wrestler would be.

That or I was just really drunk.
