I dont think he is a first rounder, based on his talent and size, but he displayed good balls skills all year.

So lets say he is a classic 2nd rounder,

Do you draft him where he should be, knock him down a few rounds or stay away.

As the story still is not clear and I can only assume he will never make it clear, I stay away from the guy as he will take shit for this forever and eventually crack!

Be funny if on draft day some GM disguised his voice like a woman when he called to tell him they picked him...

I wouldn't touch this guy. Not even looking at the scandal,he is way too undersized. He will get runover in the NFL.

Agree on both parts, but have heard every single NFL "EXPERT" Hub, Hubs People, ESPN, PFT, etc say that Manti will get no penalty or draft slot reduction. DAN POMPEI!

I heard it was closer to 210. He looks pretty small to me.

When your right, your right! Everything says 250 on the internet. He looks small when I watch him playing on TV. I thought I heard somebody on TV say he was 210.

They probably said "too tense," on account of all the dying loved ones.

I do not like scary/unpredictable people around me. Take his freak show elsewhere.

No, I don't draft him. You don't need that type of distraction.

I agree, but look at the Ravens with the murder accusations against Ray Lewis. They got by that.

Right, but the difference was that he was already on the team. Pretty much in the NFL they will overlook a lot of stuff if you can play ball, including criminal record.

If I was running a draft and needed a linebacker and it was the spot I thought he should be drafted, yes I would draft him.

On talent alone I would.

On what it will be like in the locker room for him and what the media will do to him I would not.

He's not that good that I have to have him. He isn't a game changer.

In a 3-4 base defense, yes. In a 4-3 base, no.

Wherever I had him on the board before this thing broke is where I keep him...of course, after the Alabama game, that is probably lower than it was during the year.

I'm guessing someone picks him up in the first round.

I do think he slid on talent alone and being drafted in a second or 3rd round the risk is not as high.

I thought he looked just fine in the middle of a 4-3 in college.

His play was good. I am now interested in his measurables at the combine. I don't think he is going to blow people out of the water with his speed but if it is good and his size is as it is billed, he is no worse than a second rounder.

I compare him favorably to Kuechely who went in the mid 1st last year.

Surely I'm not the only person who can see Emery thinking he can outsmart everyone by drafting him.

I'm cursing myself for having Bernstein pop into my head the 1st time I read this. The way he goes so hard against Manti and for Jarvis probably caused it. Many have discounted Manti b/c although he has great game tape he ran a 4.82. Well...
Quote:
NFL Network’s Mike Mayock reported from the Pro Day that Jones ran a 40-yard dash in the 4.9-second range, and that representatives of multiple teams were alarmed that Jones was that slow.

I can't help myself from going Beardown (dammit, what has this board done to me!?) but I think there a racial aspect to this. Jarvis Jones will get a pass for having a slow 40 b/c of his tape. He. is. a. stud. While Te'o still sucks and his 40 will still discount his tape.

I need to see a doctor ASAP.

I'm sure if you ask him, he'll say he weighs 220, 221, whatever it takes.
