Bernstein loves Larry Frank. Real Coachie coach. Doesn't matter where he is or how his teams have done, Dan just loves him.

I read a while back that Brendan Ayanbadejo said that 3% of the players in the NFL are gay. And I believe him.

Because he's played for every single team in the NFL.

Did he like Scott Skiles that much? Because they're basically the same guy.

Yes, he liked Skiles but also knew Skiles would burn out and his players wouldn't be able to take his brand of coaching for the long haul. He is a point B to C coach. Never gonna win you a title. Can't coach the elite players as there egos are too big. I think he believes more strongly that the nerdy Frank may go the distance with a team.

someone should call into the evening show with a high pitch voice, praising the host to no end than switch to a low pitch asking him about his balls

I don't understand why Dan obsesses over NBA coaches considering that LeBron Damn James plays in the league.

They're so interesting. They'll tell you stuff. They're in so much deep emotional pain because they suffer so much to do what they love.

I suppose most of them are so tourtured because they are forced to dream up ways to score points without the presence of LeBron James, knowing full well they will never win a championship so long as he remains on another team. Each night they go to bed weeping, contemplating their unending existential grief.

NBA coaches being little more than dopey tall guys who squiggle on whiteboards and read airport novels Doesn't Fit The Narrative. They're fascinating, profound men. Just don't read their fascinating, profound autobiographies.

Was it brought up in the context of an earlier conversation where they claimed they were not rich? If so, that is "The Essence" of the segment. If not please ignore my previous sentence.

Schmutzie was crapping Phil Mickelson for employing effective tax strategies because he's already rich and, apparently, shouldn't care.

But then he ended with telling him to get Mitt Romney's tax attorney. "Either stop hiding money or hide more money!"

This whole Phil Mickelson situation is extraordinarily troubling. The confiscatory policies of the Obama administration are causing him to lower his standards of living. It's truly awful.

He's a smart guy and wants to keep as much of what he has earned.

It also doesn't hurt that he has the capital to make that happen.

Stop being so melodramatic, JORR, jesus fucking christ.

He wants to keep more of what he has earned so he is moving to someplace where he can do just that.

That's what the wealthy get to do.

We serfs just have to sit and take it.

Danny should be crapped himself for even reading that - check that - for enthusiastically reading that. This is the same Danny who yells at callers who compare their own lives and jobs to those of professional athletes during a lockout or whatever who say "I would love their job, they get paid millions to play a game"..."YOU CAN'T COMPARE YOUR JOB TO THEIRS!". Isn't that exactly what his boy Schmutzie just did when he invoked the "average working stiff" to make his point?

Danny and your sycophants, WYC?

Really?!?

Larry Frank frequently cites Bobby Knight as a role model and mentor. Asked what he learned most of Knight, he said, "It's more of what he stood for. If you work hard and are trustworthy it will carry you a long way. Master your subject manner, have confidence, be reliable and sincere. He is a great mentor and teacher to have at age 18. With him you started at the bottom and were given nothing. Everything you got, you earned – sweat equity."

That, and his 266-307 coaching record, never getting beyond the Conference Semis, ...... well, boy oh boy, what a gem this fella really is.

Don't you think it's funny that you actually believe I am melodramatic rather than the guy who has generational wealth to last at least his great-great grandchildren and is crying like a little bitch over a small tax increase?

I'm just saying a prayer that his accountant can get him a lower rate than the one paid by Warren Buffet's secretary.

I'm a big fan of Phil, but WTF was he thinking when he thought it would be a good idea to bitch & complain about his taxes going up a little bit? Shut up Phil...you'll be fine.

Investments vs. Earned Income, correct? A bit misleading for Buffet to continue to make that argument.
