Got the Hawks goal from Sharp and a goal from Whitney. I hate me.

My bad - I said Kaner and not Sharp.

Still, if you hoped you were wrong, you shouldn't hate yourself :P

That's 2 goals in 2 games now that Keith has saved. He's playing like his 2010 form again overall. Simply put, he's been brilliant.

The Hawks are handing the Stars an ass kicking and they're down 2-1. I'm with Kirkwood, I hate hockey sometimes.

This is getting ridiculous. Hawks have 36 shots and only one fluke trickled in.

Aye, Captain!

Hate to have a loser mentality but I would just play for the shootout loss tonight.

I simply cannot decide whether I should laugh at or vigorously hate the PTSD Esposito Binny's commercial.

I don't get it. Why does he get extra-alert after a goal horn? If he hears a goal horn, the damage is done! He should be hanging his head in shame at the sound of a horn.

Bad, rare turnover by Sharp. Nothing like a final-minute PP to worry about. :x

BTW, I think any fan who pounds on the glass should be ejected. Next to a drunken idiot starting a fight, it is the next moronic fan action.

Easy to say "good to settle for the loser point" now, but it'd be even better to deny them the 65-minute win for playoff seeding purposes. This team might bullshit its way to the end of the season before they can regress to the mean.

You can pound on the glass after a goal, but other than that, it's annoying.

I feel like that when the Hawks have been outplayed but the Hawks have dominated this game in every possible way.

That was really really fun. I was so angry the instant Kane didn't shoot that, lol. Just an absurd pass.

Was a rip-off the instant it was consumated but Bowman made out like a bandit on the Cam Barker for Leddy/Johnsson trade. Leddy has been great the 1st 4 games. His entrances into the zone are lightning quick and he's bodying up a bit on opponents. The next step will be having a plan once he enters the zone with his insane skating/zone. He has this derpy "Oh shit oh shit shit" now what plan.

My Three Stars:

1) Hossa (For the GWG)
2) Keith
3) Toews

Bad game for Seabrook and Crawford. Also didn't notice Bickell all night.

Shout out to Stalberg for making some plays and getting into the thick of things. At least half of the games last year you didn't even notice he was on the ice. He's been noticeable in the first 4 games so far. He needs to learn how to actually screen the goalie though when he goes in front.

Just watched this game... had to tape it.
All I can say is
What a way to take away all the momentum. I mean they were down 2 and scored 3 unanswered. Sick.

This... this is a thing guys. Feel that? I did. On my leg.

Some quick thoughts as I've been absent from this section and board lately

-Brandon Saad has shown he belongs over the first 4 games. I'll be interested to see how he holds up over the course of the season, but he's been a great compliment to 19 and 81. Relentless forechecking, keeping plays alive etc. Points will come for him. Happy about this.

-Nick Leddy has been...good. A few yips here and there, but he's still 21 years old. He's had some Campbell-esque rushes with the puck this season so far and this is a completely different team when that happens. Also, Hammer seems to be returning to 2010 form when everyone applauded the decision to keep him over Niemi. There is some defensive depth on this team that I'm sure will tempt Stan come trade deadline to float out there a bit.

-Patrick Kane is awesome. Hurts my soul that people wanted to trade him for a goalie. A few times every game he does something with the puck or makes a pass that makes you just oooh and ahh. That backhand pass to Hossa in overtime was just...wow.

-Bickell, Frolik and Kruger by in large have been pretty good this season. If those guys keep their play up, the depth this team can throw at you during a 7 game series and we just might have something here.

-Crawford's been good. Making all the stops you need him too.

-Any day Brandon Bollig is in the press box is a good day.

Couldn't disagree more. He's still abysmal on the PP and leads the league in getting shots blocked 30 feet from the net leading to odd man rushes going the other way. (see the Dallas shorty last night)

Saad's gonna have one bust-out four-point game soon. I think he could very well get it against Columbus tomorrow, if Stalberg doesn't mind ceding the "Get A Ton Of Points Against Columbus" position.

Shaw is just hurtin' me at this point. Now I'm not even sure he can play fourth-line wing. Oof.
