I would love to. Lottery teams suck for a reason.

No way.

Even if they make the playoffs, which is a huge if, they will get thrashed by the Thunder or Spurs.

I'm betting that they will figure out how to play together by this time and will likely face the Spurs in the first round. I like the Lakers chances against the Spurs. I'm confident that my Lakers pick will be right.

I couldn't agree more.

I just don't see the defense or chemistry, two things the Spur and Thunder (wtf is a singular Thunder, anyway?) have in spades.

I think the Spurs would easily sweep the Lakers. I don't think anyone outside of OKC and Memphis can beat San Antonio.

Chemistry takes time. It'll be there before the season ends. The talent has always been there.

I'd love to see the Spurs get a crack at Miami in the Finals this year.

Me too. I can't see a scenario where Miami wins that series outside of LeBron averaging 40-15-9.

that might be going a bit too far....i know Miami is weak up front and all, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they beat the Spurs were they to meet

It would surprise me quite a bit. The Spurs match up perfectly with the Heat. I don't think it would be a close series at all.

Kobe "Magic" Bryant cares about his legacy. He'll do whatever it takes to win now. Not making the playoffs this year would hurt his legacy.

We shall see, they hit soft schedule and need to make up a lot of games...I am doubtful.

Anytime he wants to start playing transition defense, it'll certainly help.

Lakers looked good until the 4th when Kobe started bricking shots, Howard is hurt n is going to miss some games..interesting fact I heard...Lakers are 29-3 in the last 3 years when Kobe takes less than 13 shots.

The Lakers get more ESPN attention tomorrow night when they face the slumping Timberwolves in Minneapolis. It's the second game of an NBA/ESPN twinbill that starts with Heat/Pacers in Indianapolis @ 6P. Shameless plugs aside, I've gotta think Dwight Howard misses the game tomorrow night at the Target Center, and maybe more.

I've tweeted about this myself, and I still wonder if ABC pulls the plug on the scheduled Bulls/Lakers' game Sunday, March 10th @ 2:30P at Staples Center. That's especially if a certain #1 we all know & love in white, red & black still isn't ready to return from a torn ACL & if the Lakers are still bad at basketball.

Dwight bailed Kobe out n carried the team to a win, they are currently a ten seed...I fear this team sneaks into 8 the seed ...only 2.5 back.....still no threat to do anything n an an easy first round k.o. ....but I want them to. Miss the post season.

Does ABC have flex rights? I know ESPN has limited flexing for Wednesdays and Fridays, but I thought Thursday and Sunday games were ironclad.

I'm pretty sure they are obligated to show a minimum number of games on ABC every year. I guess they could change it out to something else, but there are no other afternoon games on 3/10. Maybe they could move the later Miami/Indiana game to an earlier start, but would ratings be any good for Pacers/Heat? I doubt it. That's two small markets.

They would have to move the Bulls game to the evening as well or else it wouldn't be allowed to air live. Seems like more trouble than it's worth if you ask me.

Not sure if serious, but this was posted a month ago.

I hope Dwight calls Kobe out for being soft.
