I like TFM on twitter. If he ever dropped the look how dumb everything is (and how smart I am!) Routine he'd be pretty good
This reminds me of the beginning of Knocked Up where Rogen's friend says "He's doing the dice thing too much" and his other friend says "that's really all he's got!"
dude, he's gotta be a general in the bernstein army, if not a full-blown admiral. since dan does the "look at how stupid everything is, i'm better than that so i'm gonna make fun of it" schtick, you gotta sully favor with dear leader by employing the same tactics as him and "dispensing justice."
one thing i'll give TFM over maddux boy / schmutzie is that he doesn't literally run over to tweet @dan_bernstein and try to shame you for daring to crack wise at someone higher up than you in the fiefdom. seriously, maddux boy sees it as some form of a public shaming to be called out directly to @dan_bernstein, like you're suddenly gonna go *gulp* and freak out cuz your personal radio jesus is gonna see your asshattery and think lower of you.
that's how it works in media fiefdoms / cults of personality. like i said, at least TFM doesn't directly drag you into it, HOWEVER, i'd be willing to bet that he's pretty sure "his guys" over @ the station will regularly check up on his twitter. he seems to be awfully comfortable and colloquial with tweeting minutiae @them, so maybe given his arbitrary status as king of the lepers (fans) and a general in the bernstein army, the joke is REALLY on us.
if he was really funny he would have asked me where i coached after the employment check. or for my football information. but by then, i think the facade of good humor was gone and all that was left was.... REALITY.
