Should I be thankful that Laurence isn't driving the show?

Whatever happened to Matt and Brian Paruke? Laurence and Zach suck as hosts or co-hosts... why does the Score management have to be so high on them when nobody else likes them either? Makes no sense.

What's weird about that show is that, sometimes, one of the three take take half of the segment off, and then just pop in, and offer a thought. It just doesn't sound good when they do that.

When they were sharing gym stories the other night, they sounded good.

Zach needs to stop it with the fucking Lou drops, though. Not funny at all.

Drinky & Paruch are a better pairing, IMO. Leave LoHo solo and keep Zach on the Bears beat and Bears All Access. Never cared for the 3 man booth.

Jason still needs more shifts, too.

The bickering back and forth early in today's show caused me to turn the radio off. I can handle when guys in the booth go back and forth but the stuff today was over the line. Too many cheap shots back and forth.

You mean, when one of them decides to "get mad", and start screaming at each other, or a caller?!? Someone's idea of "edgy", I think. Sort of like Drinky's proclaiming he's not B&B, but wanting to cross-examine the callers. Uh-huh. Tell Bernsie I'm getting tired of his doing that all the time, too, Matt.

Astro-fan Drinky :-)

Yeah, now that you mention it, I did feel like I was listening to Bernsie cross examining a caller. Like I said, there were other things about the show that bothered me. The part I listened to just sounded very unprofessional.

Can't stand when Holmes attempts to lump all fans together. After they had Len Kasper on, who said Milwaukee was for real (not sure why this question had to be asked), Holmes starts talking about how he doesn't want to hear any callers questioning Milwaukee without backing it up. I know there are morons who do call in, but he seems to have no respect for his listening audience.....About 20 minutes later, he suggests that Carlos Zambrano can contribute in other ways than pitichingi inthe all-star game, like pinch hitting. What a moron.

Did they go into the saggy testicles bit again?!? If yes, then that is their fall back - weak. I swear I've heard them talking about the old men placing their junk on the benches at least 3 times now.

If they want a good, descriptive name for their show, they should call it--

"the amateur hours" It really is bad radio.

I woke up right when they introduced Len Casper. You're right BD. Larry speaks to the audience like we're all 5 years old.

Larry - Hmmm. Len said the Brewers are for real. (Like that proves it. Most people know that) So all you callers out there listen to Lenny. We at this new show proved something today. I don't want any of you kids calling up without backing up your position that the Brewers aren't for real. Now, milk and cookies for everybody!!!

Larry's such a patronizing ass clown. He makes the simple seem so extreme and profound.

Caught some of the show tonight. Sounded much improved. The guys had a good dialogue going. Didn't hear any of the hosts cutting each other off or putting each other down. The guys sounded well-prepared tonight.

I loved when one of the callers took Larry to task for saying Hinrich's not a great player because "he doesn't have a championship." I agree that Hinrich isn't a great player, but Larry's argument is terrible. The caller imediately jumped all over him and said that Kevin Garnett and Lebron don't have championships either when Larry kept saying they were "championship players." I agree they are great players, but neither of them has a ring, so guess what Holmes....they're not championship players.

Larry often has no logic. He'll jump all over a caller when they don't. He tries to say unique things but often times they make no sense.

Is it me or is Drinky starting to really sound a lot like his mentors B&B? He sounds very easily frustrated when people disagree with him. I didn't think he was like that.

That would not be a difficult task. Take a look at their road record and the difference in some of their staters on the road.

It all depends if Holmes agrees with the logic. I've heard him in the past ask for callers to tell him why he is wrong about something, and then when callers attempt to do so, he just tells them they are wrong, and hangs up, and goes back to asking for better opinions.

I think Laurence and Zach sound more like the B&B ripoffs than Drinky does. Matt is usually a little more laid back and seems to get short with his cohosts more than his callers.

Because the three of them together work cheaper than one Dave Baum

And because Mitch would like to see if they could possibly repalce North if New York gives him the chance to whack him when his paper expires.

It seems that Mitch threw three guys together, kind of like he did with MJH on AM1000, and he's hoping to create a new monster. Those three guys just isn't it. Matt is capable of being part of a good show, he just needs better co-hosts. Paruke and Bloomberg are probably the better backups at that station... I always thought George Offman could make a good 3rd guy to a show... and there's always Joe Bartoch, wherever he is.

I'm tired of these three. It's a terrible listen when they aren't constantly attacking one another. All of the confrontations makes it a very uncomfortable listen.

I wish Holmes would stop trying to emulate Bernstein. Having one Bernstein is bad enough, don't need another!

Listened to most of their show today. I like Drinky. I didn't see him as too confrontational at all. I think he's a good listen.

If it's possible to "hear" an eye-roll, one could sure hear Drinky's today with regard to Holmes trying to play hard-ass tough guy. He did it that I heard twice, once with Holmes trying to infer that saying "he's a slow white guy" is racist. Also, when trying to pigeonhole ZZ into saying how long he would give Paxson to build a championship team.

Holmes is a douche.

I think the simple argument is, outside of his football coverage, which I do think he does a good job of reporting, he really has no clue about what he's talking about, and he's constantly trying too hard to create interesting conversation as it too often turns into combative ill-formed arguments.

well put, BD! I concur with your sentiments. The constant debating turns into unnecessary noise.

Ok, I am going to take some heat for this, but Laurence has been ok this week. If they let Matt drive the show and Laurence add's something without trying to reinvent radio, its not a bad listen. Zach...I have not been a fan since he graced us with his skills and I am still not a fan. He talks and talks and talks, but never really makes a point. I had it with Zach when last week he said he isnt ready to call it a season on the White Sox, but today, he wouldnt say the cubs were still in it.The Cubs are in the weakest division in baseball and they are out, the Sox play in the toughest and are 12 games out, but they still have a chance, ok Zach. With logic like that, Zach will have a great career as a update guy.

If that's what Zach said, then he may have surpassed Lawrence as the dumbest person on the show. I don't know that Holmes is stupid, instead moreso just tries too hard to create interesting radio, when he usually does the opposite.

And yet the Bears played in a damned weak division, and hey, also made it to the super bowl. What does that mean, if anything? (It means they had to pour it on, come the playoffs)
