I have a Netflix account and had 77 minutes to kill so I watched this. Movie was made for $7,000 and shot on film. For comparison's sake, Birdemic was made for about the same amount.

If anyone has seen this can someone please explain what they fuck you think happened. I know they set the timer on the machine and walk away so as not to encounter their future selves coming back to the present, but I don't understand how that worked. Wikipedia was only somewhat helpful.
