Crawford has still been much better than I thought he'd be.
I really thought goaltending was going to be the big weakness this season. So far, not terrible.

There's something to that, but that doesn't explain the effective penalty kill, since the sort of spatial discipline that goes into killing penalties is usually a function of coaching. I'd say continuity has helped, along with more stringent interference calls defanging the "well-coached" teams.

All that being said, Minnesota has looked good while the Hawks have looked disorganized.
