I'm sorry I didn't write about this when I first heard it but I had to run into a meeting. Did I hear Silvy right when they were signing off today that Chet Coppock will be filling in for him and Waddle all next week? This is a joke right? Now I don't mind Coppock filling in for them on the 4th since I won't be listening then, but I'm going to find it very hard to listen to him the other four days. I didn't like him twenty years ago when he was in his prime on radio and I can't stand him now. I'm very mad and very disappointed in ESPN1000's decision. J Hood wasn't available? Finji could have been given his big break and subbed for them.

Well, they figure most folks would be on vacation all next week anyways, so why not have it feel like a week-long Saturday?

That's a lot of hot-towel treatments.

It's ok. Drinky and the boys are on from 10-2 all week.

Normally I don't listen down the dial, but I may have to make an exception this week (if the radio in my office can pick it up). At least an hour w/ Bruce helps out a little.

And I know it's a cliche and that Chet has been on the radio for decades, but a phone call doesn't cost a dime anymore .

The cicadas may be gone, but the crickets returned at 9 am this morning.

Someone called Chester, said guys on 670 proclaimed the Coob a Team of Destiny. All I'm saying is, if you're going to beat Chet's brain in, don't help him out by sending people up the dial. (Gee, even Kansas City a team of destiny... to lose...)
