I'm not talking about whatever he told the media afterwards. He could say pretty much anything he wanted that didn't put him in a position to get sued by the test taker.

He didn't argue that to avoid getting suspended. Instead, he argued a technicality.

Let's be real here. If there was literally synthetic testosterone in that sample, and Braun did nothing to get it in there he'd be filing criminal charges or suing the test taker for tampering with it. Instead, he didn't even argue that it was tampered with. He didn't argue that synthetic testosterone can just magically appear because you didn't get something to FedEx quick enough.

His argument was based entirely on a technicality that pretty much everyone agrees wouldn't have altered any test. Then, as soon as he passed, he went on about a lot of other stuff. If his suspension was upheld, it's not like he wouldn't have made the exact same statement in defense. I don't know why you believe him because he found a way to invalidate a positive test.

There isn't any difference chemically between the two. Hence why the simply test against a "normal range".

Either ones testosterone levels are elevated above that or they aren't and remain in the normal range.

If the sample showed an historically high positive test...
-Either it was fucked up and wrong.
-He tested positive but it got fucked up during its stint in la-la land and showed a higher sample.
-He got caught front-loading or he got caught shortly after using a fast-acting ester with a real short half-life. Which could explain the huge spike.
-Or, tin foil hat moment, this whole thing was orchestrated by the MLB. The leak, the "not being able to find a FedEx and the rest of the mumbo-jumbo that gave him a way out.

I still maintain if someone takes something for a legitimate medical issue, its not cheating.

I dont care that people would abuse the system that way. If the person is actually sick (not back pain) and takes something for that, I wont consider it cheating.
