When he played for New York, he was bad. When he was given a chance to compete for the job in training camp and the preseason he was bad.

If Tebow is going to succeed as a QB if given the chance why isn't that number much higher? I'd have to imagine that you would think he'll start 15 or 20 more games at QB as soon as evil Rex Ryan stops impeding him.

I assumed your point was that he wasn't going to get another start. I'm saying that he will. I can't predict what kind of environment he will land in or if it will be the poisoned atmosphere like the Jets was.

There's a negative cloud hanging over him now as a team distraction that wasn't there last year. But, I think he'll get a chance at some point in the next few years. He may fail. I'm not going to guarantee anything. The offense required for his success is unorthodox and I'll have no way of knowing if some unknown, future team would cater to it.

In an article in ESPN the Magazine, David Fleming writes that those close to Tebow are “privately admitting that his NFL run is probably over” — the first such statement to leak from Tebow’s inner circle, though it’s been widely assumed that the combination of Tebow’s inadequacy as a player and the media circus that follows him might make finding employment challenging.

The article also cites an NFC scout who seems to agree with that assessment of Tebow’s prospects.

“He’s not a quarterback,” the scout told Fleming. “When you look at his run two years ago, when you watch the tape and break it down, he wasn’t really doing anything that impressive. He’s a tough guy, a great leader, a great person. But he isn’t a good enough quarterback to have all the distractions that come with him.”
