Hey SHARK, it really doesnt matter that its the SCORES Home Run Inn pizza line

You can just post "They're talking with Dr Kozlowski, a neurologist from DePaul" and it will have the same effect.

Don't listen to him, SHARK. You're beautiful. Don't ever change.

It was just a suggestion.

Im a big SHARK fan in general.

We've gone from caricature to unintentional self-parody to some sort of master class in meta-trolling. It seems almost wasteful to get upset about it anymore. You just sit back in awe of the sheer audacious mendacity of it all.

Sometimes it really seems like they are trying to embody everything they protest in the name of trolling or...something.

That shit about the Pacers being a rival and how those games are REAL ASS games?

Are you kidding me?

What happened to the NBA regular season being meaningless?
What happened to rivalries being fan only creations that the players dont care about?
What happened to "they're professionals, the play hard every night"

Amazing

When you talk for five hours a day, you are bound to lie. There just isn't that much truth out there.

Id agree, inconsistency is going to happen, but this is a little much.

They'll be doing a show on momentum at some point

That's fine. But it is, in fact, absolutely batshit crazy to compare collegiate athletics to slavery.

I don't understand why they must rely on the "Here's what I hate about it..." as the initial go-to on all sports topics of the day.

National Signing Day
"Here's what I hate about it..."

Super Bowl
"Here's what I hate about Ray Lewis and Harbaugh..."

Hawks game
"Here's what I hate about the start time..."

It's predictable and boring and disappointing because they are capable of putting on a very entertaining show without just wallowing in Troll Valley. I did laugh out loud at Terry's "she'd be a dreadful bedfull" comment the other day on Julia Child.

But, the formula is set. Pick whatever the hot sports topic of the day is and begin with what you hate about it. It's depressing.

Today will be all about Lance Armstrong, though.

The show was much more entertaining when it relied on the absurdity of sports

Come on over to the ReVolution sponsored by Katie O'Connor's.

Harry may be terrible, but Jurko makes up for it.

I gained tons of respect for CJH Tuesday, when I hear them modeling a game after THE BRAND's suggestion.

and when it wasn't the #1 show on the station. being a FOTS has irrevocably changed what's going on here, as the raimi spider-man "with great power comes great responsibility" stuff comes in, and that's why there's shoehorned soapboxxy crusading alongside the emphasis on being contrarian on everything else that doesn't have a sponsorship/media deal with the station/CBS.

basically, the little oasis in the middle of a day comprised of something else is long gone. now the station has the occasional oasis from the bernstein style, but as many have pointed out, it's the default thing at the station. i'll always remember the first time i heard DER SPEAGOL my immediate reaction was "wow, they got a bernstein for mac"

THEY'RE PROFESSIONALS, FAVREFAN.

i believe that's how they can debate that one.

you know, while they love to dump on ESPN and especially First Take for being phonies who arbitrarily pick sides of debates in order to manufacture ratings, it sure seems like they're increasingly doing the same thing over there, eh? OH THE IRONY...

No. Spark made that up and Sini is piggybacking.

Bernstein has said plenty of times, even last week, that there's no way to play hard every night in an 82 game season and that veterans know when and how to conserve their energy. This is why Bernstein was pissed about the minutes Luol is getting, because playing 40 minutes for Thibs means 100% balls out effort on both ends of the floor, without any room for conserving oneself.

Don't make shit up, guys. Bernstein gives plenty of material without it.

I didnt make it up and if you actually thought about what I said, you wouldn't make such a silly accusation.

I did however phrase it wrong.

He has, on MANY occassions, said that players dont "GET UP" for certain games. Its a business and who they are playing doesnt matter to them in the least.

Then yesterday he says "These teams really dont like eachother and the games are REAL ASS games"

It depends on the context.

If I called in today and said that NBA players don't try hard in the regular season he'd shout me down.

But I'm right.

SomeGuy, you are funny but you need to stay out of grown folks business. You supposedly don't even listen to the show, right? A and B conversation.

And quit fucking trolling. That's pretty much what you've been reduced to and it's annoying as hell. You used to actually have real opinions about things.

I think his position would be that they are professionals that know how to pace themselves over the course of a long season and that when the play-off starts they find another gear or "take it up a notch". That isn't exactly the same as "not playing hard." It's playing smart unlike what the great Thibs is forcing the Bulls to do.

My point exactly. Two very different things.

I'm mesmerized that he's drinking straight Johnnie Red. I would have thought pussy Clark Kent was a Malibu and Orange kind of guy.

Exactly

Plus, its a vicious circle, Cairo

It doesnt matter what he may have said last week, because he will contradict it in two months and scream at a caller that he's dumb for even suggesting NBA players coast.

Thats the point of the post. He contradicts himself frequently.

I think his position would be that they are professionals that know how to pace themselves over the course of a long season and that when the play-off starts they find another gear or "take it up a notch". That isn't exactly the same as "not playing hard." It's playing smart unlike what the great Thibs is forcing the Bulls to do.

Ok

How does two teams not liking eachother make it a "REAL ASS" game?

How does a rivalry even exist? The players dont care!
