Sean Connery "breaking in" has to go through this elaborate fan/furnace thing so that he can get through and unlock the door for the FBI or whoever they are to get in.

Hey! He broke out! So couldn't be have just walked out that door?

Taken: Daughter goes to Europe with her friend. They are both abducted. The friend dies. No one tells her family. They are probably still wondering how the concert was.

Because the Predator would have to pry it from his cold dead hands.

back to the future 2: when old biff goes back and gives young biff gray's sports almanac, how come he comes back to the original 2015 instead of 2015 in the biff-universe?

wasn't the whole point of him doing that so he could come back to a 2015 where he's the richest man in the world or whatever?

In the '80s they didn't understand time travel quite yet.

Men in Black.

If the Arquillians don't get the galaxy, they destroy earth. But the galaxy is on earth. Wouldn't they be destroying what they wanted?

So im guessing he wouldve just injured Dave Dravecky then?

I can't take credit for these, but:

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade:

When Indy is stepping on the letters at the end, trying to spell out God's name, he steps on J, incorrectly. When he falls through, however, he grabs onto another letter so as not to fall down. The letters he grabs onto and pulls himself up are an L and a Y, which are not in the word Iehovah, so should have collapsed too.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2:

One of Snape's memories show Lilly telling baby Harry to be safe, be strong. That had to have occurred before Voldemort killed Lilly. Snape was not in the house until after Lilly was killed and Voldemort was gone. Only Lilly and Harry should have had that memory, but not Snape.

Morgan Freeman's character was imprisoned as a younger, youthier guy, and factoring in when Shawshank Redemption took place, I'm pretty sure Morgan Freeman's character wouldn't have known what the hell Bohemian style beer is.

Yep! That totally blew the whole movie for me. How the hell could Andy Dufresne have escaped if his friend Red couldn't have known what Bohemian-style beer was. Not only a plot hole, but DB worthy!

Let's just leave Back to the Future alone, its absolutely packed with plot holes.

Independence Day

Nothing was solved by temporarily disabling the ships. There are still aliens very much alive in there and they are far more advanced. They would have took Earth like Hitler through poland.

In Rocky V, its Christmas in Philadelphia. Its cold enough for the red headed slut and George Washington Duke to be wearing heavy fur coats. Why is Tommy Gunn driving with the top down?

I just watched the Fringe Series finale last night, and there were a number of plot holes that made me scratch my head.

Right.

I hope he sued whatever Dr. gave him that news. Not only did he lose millions of dollars because he had to retire from boxing, but he lost about 15-20 years of unprotected sex.

Towards the end of the movie, Tommy and David Spade go to visit Zalinski at his expansive manufacturing plant and testing facility . . . which apparently is on an upper floor of a Loop skyscraper.

The chive has a thread on this today...check it out

e.g. Home Alone - Physically impossible for Kevin McCallister to have sled down the stairs and make it out the front door, the alignment made the path impossible

I think one of them showed that the Wet Bandits would have been dead by like the third gag

I think more amazing than Marv basically getting just a little woozy from multiple hits to the face with a brick, was that the kid was repeatedly able to hit his target with a 5 pound brick from 4 or 5 stories up.

ok apparently you guys need to be told the difference between a plot hole and a "movie goof". a plot hole is a flaw in the plot's development that requires a deus ex machina in order to progress the story.

examples: the end of "the game" and "arlington road".

the home alone example is just a suspension of disbelief. kind of like believing, or at least accepting, that indiana jones can survive a tank falling off a cliff. it happens in pretty much every movie, especially action films or action comedies.

movies aren't real life, i hear.
