I'm getting slightly annoyed that I keep hearing something along the lines of "the fire may or may not have been started by the tear gas".

I am not an expert, but I don't think any fire could come from tear gas cannisters. Otherwise, a place inundated by tear gas would become an area of immolation potential, and I've never heard of that happening?

Apparently the typical gas does have a flammability warning of "1" ... but that's not something that's arbitrarily going to just combust on its own without some external source of heat (at least 200 degrees F).

The gas doesn't start the fire but the canister has a smoldering aspect when gas is blowing off that may start something? At least ones I recall from Army did.

I am glad they got this piece of shit, and howevah they started that fire as long as it was him(unbelievable that I would have to say that, but they haven't always been that accurate with this case), I am all for it. Enough innocent people were dead, and hearing enough about what has gone on, they are lucky there are not more.

I've only barely followed this story starting basically today, so the answer to my question is likely very obvious to someone who actually has paid more than 10 seconds' attention to it.

Said question is this: what irrefutable proof is there that he actually murdered those two kids anyway?

Just asking 'cause I don't know. And I figure before you properly hate a fella for killing people, you should be quite sure he actually did the killing - which I'm confident enough he did, just wondering if there's something more than "of course he did it" or "he threatened to do it" on the guilty side of the ledger.
