CTL, M&H and M&S all said local beat guys are upset Rose gave an exlcusive to USA today. Well, boo hoo, connect with new sources or agents instead of touting the Bulls company line.

Cubs guys constantly getting scooped by national media

Hawks media is pretty much an extension of Hawks PR department.

I don't follow Sox too hard but I imagine they're equally as bad as the Cubs.

Bears coverage is probably the only team the media legimately scrutinizes.

touching on the broader subject, I don't blame Rose for not wanting to go onto the court until he is "110%." I don't blame him. He's got a big ego and he should. He doesn't want to go out there and hobble around and get his ass beat. What's the point of that? At least that's how it appears on the surface. Maybe he's just following orders from Adidas or whoever.

I can't agree completely with that. I'm not saying he should play hurt, but when he gets to the point that he can help the Bulls ("only" 100% instead of 110%?) -- even if he is not at his perceived peak -- they should expect Rose to make himself available.

Did anyone have a Bulls beat writer on the air to ask them about this....or are they all scared to talk about it, for the fear that GarPax bans them from the Berto Center.

I think this is a huge reason football reporting is so much better. No beat writers flying on planes with guys every week for 5 months, like NBA, MLB, NHL...

To be fair, as a beat writer, your life would suck if you defied the requests of a team and you need to see these guys everyday. Thus you need a Joe Cowley. You need a bad cop!

They couldn't beat an 8 seed last year, and were given a 1 game lead before the Rose injury. So no, I don't think they can. I was on your side of your argument last year, and was proved horribly wrong. The bench is even worse this year. They would lose to anyone in probably 5 games.
