Very intriguing lineup. I have never attended one of those mega festivals before.

It was a blast, but we kept running into scheduling issues. Two bands we wanted to see were playing at the same time on different stages. It can be tough to plan the day.

If you go, get the VIP tickets. Trust me on this one.

Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Zac Brown Band, Jane's Addiction, Avett Brothers, Flaming Lips, Primus, Cake, Alabama Shakes, Black Crowes, Violent Femmes, The Wallflowers, Bad Religion and many more (60 total, although that includes numerous comedy acts). That looks like a pretty solid event. I had no idea Violent Femmes are playing together again, but I hope it lasts long enough (it probably won't) for a Chicago-area show.

The Cure and Nine Inch Nails will join previously confirmed acts Mumford & Sons, the Killers, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, the National and the Postal Service at Lollapalooza in Grant Park on Aug. 2-4.

Multiple industry sources confirmed Thursday that a picture of a Lollapalooza poster that leaked on-line Wednesday night was legitimate. Lollapalooza spokeswoman Shelby Meade would not comment on the leaked lineup, but said official confirmation of the actual lineup would come next week with a new on-sale date for single-day tickets (three-day tickets have already sold out).
