If that were true the Lakers would be a lot better than they currently are.

Ya, can I trade you for some complete hack from the Larz board?

:bounce:

That would be a even trade, which would equal another bad trade by you.

If there are any trades made between NOW & 2P (CT) tomorrow, I'm not sure how many will be made, let alone if the deals will have anything to do with teams trying to get under the luxury tax threshold.

I heard NBA.com's Steve Aschburner over the weekend suggest that if the Bulls trade Richard "Rip" Hamilton, he thinks that's a sure sign that Derrick Rose won't be back this season. Then again, a source close to ESPN's Chris Broussard suggested this morning that Rose's first 5 on 5 drills yesterday went "really good" and that Rose is "good to go". Needless to say, there's still no timetable and Coach Thibs said in interviews on BOTH ESPN Radio 1000 AM & 670 The SCORE over the weekend as well that he might not have Rose available this season.

The Morris twins are both now in Phoenix. I wonder if this means Bill Self will be taking over for Lindsey Hunter.

If you actually wonder about that, it does a lot in explaining your thread starting choices.

So far, it's been relatively quiet on the NBA Trade Deadline front. Will Josh Smith be traded from Atlanta? Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski has Tweeted that the Hawks & Bucks are "seriously engaged" in trade talks in the final hour before the deadline.

Celtics will send the Leandro Barbosa expiring contract to the Wizards for Jordan Crawford, league source tells Y! Sports.

Man, the Celtics are really clinging to this season for dear life. It's kinda sad and inspiring all at the same time.

Guys, they should also say goodbye to Kevin Garnett & Paul Pierce, but there are 2 problems with that. One, the money those guys are making. Two, KG has a no-trade clause and while he's not exactly saying this is it after 15 years, he wants to finish his career with the Celtics.

Actually, I think he has publicly stated just that. He said he will only be open to a trade if they trade Paul Pierce too.

This Boston team sorta reminds me of the Jazz team in 2002 in the first round of the playoffs when Utah(with Malone and Stockton on their last legs) gave a much better Sacramento team hell before losing the series 3-1.

Right now, there appears to be a great deal of selling, but few are buying with under 24 minutes to go.

Meanwhile, Redick trade talks coming down to the wire, per source. Pacers, 76ers, Bucks most interested. Spurs, who were interested, are out

What kind of offer is Redick commanding right now? It's positively stupid that the Bulls arent heavily interested in him both for this season and long term.

Orlando has been insisting on a 1st round pick for him.

Fine. Done. Draw up the paperwork.

Damn I should be a GM.

The Bulls' issue is the dreaded luxury tax. They can't add a guy like J.J. Redick with the $$$$ he's making right now. Should he stay in Orlando to finish the season, might the Bulls make another run at him this summer? There will be some $$$$ coming off the books, as far as I know.

He is a free agent at the end of the year.

I know. Resigning him would be a stipulation of doing the trade. I doubt he will be asking for or getting more than $10M/year. I'd give him 3 years and around $25 million.

15 minutes to go and Josh Smith is still an Atlanta Hawk.

He wants 4 years/$40 million I'm hearing.

That's just high enough where I'd probably pass if he had a hardline stance on it. Still, it's not a terrible contract. I'm not sure Reddick is worse than Taj Gibson.

For a 6th man, I think that's crazy talk.

I'm assuming Reddick would start here if the Bulls offered him that.

Guys, Taj Gibson's contract is actually tradeable, but I don't think the Bulls want to part company.

Why the sad face? You want Milwaukee to give a max contract to a guy in his 9th year who never made an All Star team?

Yahoo! Sports reports that Josh Smith will NOT be going anywhere. He's staying in Atlanta.

F Hakim Warrick has been dealt from Charlotte to Orlando for F Josh McRoberts.

Will the Bucks get JJ to sign a contract with them as part of the deal? It would be very Buck like to trade for a guy and then lose him at the end of the year
