Hey, go seek out the Papa M album of this name for some quality post-rock!

In the meantime, let's finish the season series with the Sharkies as best we can, possibly without Hossa, Seabrook, and Crawford. I haven't seen anything about Carcillo being activated or Karlsson being sent down in exchange for a Rockford forward (Rockforward?), so you have to think that if Hossa is out, it'll be Bollig and Mayers in the lineup together, in which case blecch. They could skate seven defensemen if Seabrook is good to go, but I wouldn't want more Sheldon Brookbank in my life than is absolutely necessary. It's starting to become apparent that we're having some trouble with roster flexibility.

Hawks are 13-0-3 in the silly standings, 11-0-5 in 65-minute play, and playing a fair bit above expectation for their goals scored/allowed. The Sha-arks have slid, sitting at 8-4-3, 6-5-4 over 65 minutes, and just a hair below expectation. At six points back of the Ducks, they're still in the thick of things, but you get a real feeling that this is the last hurrah for the Marleau/Thornton/Boyle/Stuart core. If the Sharks were smart, they would rent out all the vets next year in some Great Shark Diaspora and really get to rebuilding that barren, barren farm of theirs, but the Sharks are not smart, and will likely drag this thing out until it dies an agonizing death.

It feels for all the world like they've dried up, but the Hawks are still second in the league in scoring at 3.313, behind only the Bolts who are still puffed up on some giant blowouts of Florida and Winnipeg. The Sharks have dried up, tumbling all the way down to 22nd with 2.467. Hawks are also second in goals allowed with 1.938, behind only the Sens. Sharks are fourth at 2.133, and I expect Niemi will give us a tough time as always.

There's some talk that the Hawks are on the verge of "history" tonight, but let's not give it too much thought.

The report yesterday was that all three practiced and for the Sharks game it was Seabrook = In, Hossa = Game Time Decision and Crawford = Out.

Crawford is about ready and I assume that he'll back any game now.

5v5: Hawks are 3rd GF/60 and tied for 3rd with Anaheim GA/60. Love it.

Have you seen the Oilers' even strength scoring? It's ghastly. Less than one goal a game.

Who's gone to make room for Carcillo? Karlsson? I think Bollig is still two-way and waiver-exempt; I'd be fine with sending him down.

Why would you keep 3 goalies up?

Crawford still isn't cleared to play, let's say Emery gets chased.

Really, I just want to be rid of Bollig.

Oh, I misread.

Anyways, I'd think Bollig would be the logical choice. Considering he's not good at hockey.

Coach Q says Corey Crawford will back up Ray Emery tonight in goal. G Henrik Karlsson has been sent back to Rockford.

Oh for fuck's sake, have we learned nothing about the Blackhawks and concussions? Better than even odds that Hossa plays tonight, looks generally out of sorts, and then becomes day-to-day indefinitely with no one sharing anything further and no one trying to find out. It's happened with Toews, Kruger, and I think Bolland.

The guy gives me the shakes man. He was heading behind the net once and the puck was heading toward the slot. I was screaming.
