So we should get the 3 big Mania matches setup tonight.

Triple H/Lesnar
Rock/Cena
Punk/Taker

So if Punk loses tonight, that's 3 big losses in a row.

I'm still not convinced Taker is coming for Punk.

I think Brock interferes in Vince-Heyman match and Taker makes the save.

I like that idea too Terry's Peeps, better than the big 3, with pretty much knowing the winners going in.

Can't see Taker losing, I did read that Rock may stick around, but they could be putting that out there, but still see Cena winning, but will say I am not sure if Triple H does beat Lesnar, thought it would happen, but listening to the LAW have some doubts.

If Punk loses tonight, and loses to Taker at Mania, 4 big losses after a year of not losing.

Unless something has happened that I'm entirely unaware of, Brock's not a safe worker, and there's no way in hell Mark's gonna trust that guy at this point in his career. Punk is really the only logical choice. I daresay it might even be another Rock/Cena deal where Punk jobs this year, and then is blessed with ending the streak next year.

You really think Taker in the delicate situation he is in with his body is going to go against Brock?

 no way

Yeah that's the only reason I'm not 100% sure they'd do it.

It's just easier to build an angle around Lesnar-Taker than Punk-Taker.

I don't see how this is true.

I think Punk could build an angle with Taker in his sleep if he wanted.

Punk is the perfect fit for Taker right now

I will say looking forward to see the direction they go with the Punk-Taker setup.

I agree with that Terry's Peeps, what Punk loses and demands a match with Taker, or does Taker interfere and cost Punk the match vs Cena and why would he do that.

For tonight on the Law, they said, during Cena-Punk, have lights go out, here comes the Shield, lights go out again and comes Taker, don't know how that would go over.

Because Lesnar and Taker have an "issue" stemming from the UFC match a few years ago.

Punk and Taker haven't had any interaction in 7 years.

You could add to the fact with Lesnar-Taker, a more believable chance Taker would lose and could sell it more to people.

Punk would be going into the match with 3 big losses and the last time we seen Lesnar, he broke Triple H's arm.

Yeah I get all that and if Taker was in good shape I would say you were right.

Maybe that has been the delay in getting the contract signed and programs together. Mark saw Vince's hip get shattered and said, "no thanks". I think they had to change the dance partners from Brock/Taker and Punk/HHH to putting Taker and Punk together then pairing Brock and Trips.

The Rock has six movies coming out this year. Snitch, FandF6, GI Joe 2, Pain and Gain, Empire State.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0425005/?ref_=sr_1

This would be why we saw him on the most limited of schedules. What have Taker and Brock been doing? Adding and removing tattoos?

I see Rock sticking around to pub his movies. Maybe in 20 years he can look like Sly Stallone. Until then I see him being around for the next year until WM30 then going back to Hollywood for that long awaited Tooth Fairy trilogy.

The rumor for next year's Mania is Rock vs Brock.

See, then I'd rather Taker just stay home and heal up for next year instead of trying to throw something together.

I doubt it will just be thrown together. There are still several weeks until mania and I am sure they have went through this set up for the past year.

Just to make sure Terry's Peeps, then you would have a triple threat with Punk-Cena-Rock

I would like to see the angle of Taker coming back and getting his casket blown up or whatever. Play the injury angle, have him miss this year, and come back next. Maybe even god forbid, work a Summer Slam to get revenge on whomever takes him out. Shocking, I know.

I will ask, isn't the big selling point of Mania right now being Taker's streak and if not there, could hurt the buyrate.

Apparently, tonight there is no Rock nor Jericho.

Yes.

I'd have an elimination style match. Have it go about 45 minutes.

Cena pins Rock first after 20 minutes.

Then you could have either Cena or Punk win and have a feud set up for when Rock goes away again.

Yes and no. It's first about Undertaker's grand annual entrance, then his streak, but that will be (presumably) overshadowed by people wanting to watch Punk get his (kayfabe) little whiny bitch-ass get kicked by a proper old-timey pro wrestler. That's enough for most of the newer audience to buy in.

I think it'll be great if Taker doesn't appear on the show.

I do like that idea, but the one I am starting to think and people say it will never happen, but Woodridge Ryan thought of it, have Cena beat the Rock with the help of the SHield, turn Heel. Punk says he gave it a great shot at Mania to beat Taker, turns good and starts a feud with Cena after Mania.

I actually could see that happening, if Cena beats Punk, then u have Cena-Rock, should get Triple H-Lesnar and then you would think Punk-Taker, so still set up the big 3 matches.

Heading out with the family to celebrate Ric Flair's birthday. I'll be interested to see how they start weaving all of this together.
