Congrats Punk, you got another good match out of Cena. As your reward, you get to try do so with an out-of-shape Undertaker.

Worst.....Frankensteiner......ever.......

However, I think I upgraded that match from good to great. Outstanding.

That was probably the best match I've watched since cena-punk MITB at the Allstate.

I'm not ready to fully commit to this statement, but I think the actual match was better. It didn't have everything surrounding it, but that was damn good. There were botches that were overlooked at MITB because of the build.

Enjoyed the show. Great to see HHH tonight. Someone better teach Brock how to blade  Although it got quite the pop from my daughters who are not used to seeing blood.

Cena vs. Punk was a great match. That should end the crap about Cena that he is just a couple preplanned moves and that is it. Dude can go.

Really thought Taker would be involved in that main event somehow.

I agree. Everyone knows Punk can work, but this has to open people's eyes to Cena's ability. It was a well crafted match. I think it was probably the best free tv match in at least 5 years.

I'm there with you. I can't remember the last free match I watched that was that good.

It wasn't as good, but I really enjoyed Jericho vs. Ziggler a while back from what I can remember.

Rewatched Cena and Punk this morning and it really was the goods. Anyone else notice Punk using the pile driver? I didn't think guys were allowed to use that move anymore?

WR, I agree Ziggler and Jericho was good too.

From LordsOfPain.Net

-Vince McMahon reportedly "blew a gasket" backstage at RAW last night during the CM Punk vs. John Cena main event. Word is that Vince got upset when Punk hit Cena with a piledriver, which is a banned move when done the way Punk did it. Vince was upset with Cena and Punk but because it was them, there will likely be no serious punishment.

I kind of was wondering about that. Can you imagine if Cena had been injured and Vince's precious 'Once in a Lifetime, but actually twice in a lifetime" match got cancelled because of that move on free tv? This just makes me like cm punk more and cena as he played along. Part of me think even though PG has been great to Cena, he wishes he could do more.

That makes the match and both of them just that much more awesome. To go above and beyond, test the rules and vince to put on a spectacular match for the fans is awesome. I still don't really like the cena character and the 5 knuckle crap but last that match showed everything good about him and that he can be far more than just the pg face for all the kiddies.

That was a work Don. A storyline plot so Vince could get legit hip replacement surgery.

Speaking of that, he was pretty crazy IMO to be in the ring taking shots so soon after a hip replacement. That could have gone really bad

Vince has always been willing to put in some really good work for a guy his age.

That did take a lot of balls to trust Paul Hayman not to just fuck him up out of spite...
