She's 24 and hasn't done anything and is just now starting in ARCA when real prospects are out of ARCA by the time they are 19/20. Why am I reading about her?

I was trying to explain to a girlfriend of mine (who follows NO sports) why I didn't like Danica. She was so excited to have heard on the news (hell, who didn't hear it? ) something that she could talk with me about and thought I'd be happy for this plucky young woman making history.
I told her why I don't like Danica (i've posted this multiple times here before) and then said "put her name in google images and you'll see what i mean". She called me 2 minutes later and said "oh well i don't like her either. she spends more time out of her clothes than in her racing costume!" ....well at least she was TRYING to talk some sporting event with me, bless her heart! ♥

I think she has the potential to be Dale Earnhardt Jr. some day. But more of a "heel" variety where she invites equal if not more hatred than supporters. Lots of exposure commensurate to her demonstrated talents. Of course, there's no guarantee or even likelihood she will, and that is like the tip-top 1-2% of her ceiling.

yeah because thats exactly what nascar needs, a bunch of material girls for fans so we can get more shitty drivers in there.

if nascar was smart they would eliminate all plate racing. if the large tracks are too dangerous, get rid of them and keep everything on a 1/2-3/4 mile track. and, make the teams TEAMS and stop focusing everything on the driver. make it so that the teams have rivalries again, not the fake driver rivalries they have now.

I assume that you go to NASCAR races. I attend a couple each year. There is no one flying #10 Go Daddy flags in the parking lot, & you rarely see fans wearing Danica gear. While sweetcheeks might be the darling of ESPN & Speed, her fan presence at the track is nearly non existent.
