Wrestling isn't exactly fake. On one level sure they have fake punches, it is staged in terms of takedowns and such and they pretend to yell at each other. But there is a lot that they do that someone could break their neck doing. There is even the possibility of concussions and serious injury from things like being hit by a chair.

IMu, when wrestling is good and done correctly it does tell a story and follow a plot like a Soa Opera. The thing is nowadays because most Americans have the attention span of a hyperactive hummingbird the storytelling takes a backseat most times.
