Big Fan brought up a good point as people were noticing that the ESPN 1000ers aren't tweeting since Harry got launched. We also got a response from somebody in Bristol about Harry. Nothing from the local management team. Guess they were told to dummy up as well.

That's how ESPN does things. Even after the kids got shot at that school in Connecticut, ESPN put a ban on their employees tweeting for like 2 days or so. I don't get why. Maybe cuz they live in the same state. Whatever. But they like to control everything from Bristol headquarters.

Jurko and Carmen have both tweeted many times in the past 24 hours, but not about Harry.

See. It is a lockdown of sorts. LOCK DOWN!!!!

The ESPNers have to be jelous of the Score people. Anything goes at the Score. Unconfirmed reporting, wrong information, petty fights, backstabbing, bitching and crying is all encouraged at 670. Not at ESPN 1000.

Because of the potential move to afternoon drive, he's probably been told to shut the hell up!!! In fact, he might know about it without Jurko or Carm knowing that it's offically going to happen.

I'm sure 1000 has its share of the same stuff, but yeah, that's our good old Score, isn't it.

Did Silvy and Waddle get to say anything about Harry on their Friday show? Did anybody listen to them?

If not, it proves that ESPN 1000 has told their people that Harry is now persona non grata. That they are to pretend he never existed.

Because if nobody is even allowed to give a friendly "good-bye" and "good luck" to Harry on twitter it has to mean that it was ordered by ESPN. Because that just seems like a natural thing to do and you'd think everybody at ESPN 1000 would have done so if they were allowed.

The hell it doesn't. It absolutely proves that there is, in fact, an ESPN 1000 LOCK DOWN!!!!!!

He didn't die. He's not sick. Him being fired was made public. Of course it would be something ESPN 1000 people would want to post on twitter. It doesn't break any proper etiquette to tweet a simple "We'll miss you, Harry. Good luck." It's just a nice, harmless thing to do.

I think they were all ordered not to do so. Not one person over there tweeted some kind words to him? C'mon. That's not a coincidence.

Maybe no one misses him or wishes him good luck.

I guess it could be that. I actually thought that there wasn't much sadness when Carm and Jurko actually said good bye to him on the air. Like others said, it was kind of cold with not much feeling. It was basically "Harry got fired, this is weird, he was always here, now he's not here, alright...back to sports!!!!!"

Could be both. Could be nobody cared to post anything and they were also ordered not to do so anyway. But I gotta figure at least one person liked him enough to say something nice on twitter.

Just to point out the difference of how each station is managed.

-When Harry gets fired, employees are told that they can't even say anything nice to him.

-When Murph got fired, everbody on "Team Bernstein" got to say one last "Fuck you, Murph" as they slammed the door behind him.

Dear guy who only knows how to hit NEW TOPIC (or REPLY when it appears in a thread that BEARS his name):

You are fucking nuts. Read your posts out loud. Record the reading. Listen to it. Listen to how FUCKING crazy you sound. Seriously, dude, do you have a problem? I know I've asked this before, but holy crap! The amount of emotion and time you have invested in the drama of sports radio in Chicago is crazy scary. Well, in a way I'm glad you have it and this board - does anyone want to imagine that outlet he would find to blow his daily loads on if WMVP/WSCR/this board went away?

Carry on, crazy man. Carry on.

Ed Sherman and Danny Mac both hinted that there is more shit about to go down at ESPN 1000. So I'll bet all the rank and file over there are scared. Not trusting of their management since it seems the Harry kill was really a surprise to everybody over there. That got their attention. Things were status quo for quite some time over there despite poor show performances. Now they all know no matter how good they think they have it with their superiors, it could be them next. Management over there is just taking orders from Bristol. They're doing what they're told. Hell, I'll bet the GM and PD over there are actually scared that Bristol might send somebody to take their jobs.

This is what a HORRIBLE RATINGS BOOK will do to a radio station. Paranoia and fear at ESPN 1000. That's why the LOCK DOWN order was given from Bristol. They know in moments like this, it's best to control the staff. KEEP THEM BITCHES QUIET.

I already broke the story of what's next, but since it's not a thread you started, you've been ignoring it.

1st they can. 2nd, I just read Beardown's post, so I haven't a chance to reply. Yes, Silvy mentioned it a few times. He wished Harry the best of luck & went on how they've worked together ~15 years. He said everybody was shocked & saddened.

If Camps (RIP) was still w/ us, he'd respond. #TeamS&W

We've been instructed not to comment on Kamps' departure.

No actually they can't. I look forward to them getting the opportunity to show that very thing. They cannot beat mac and meat. Sounds like the perfect plan, let's take a losing pair and expect them to win against another show.

Either I didn't get the memo, or I'd decided to wipe my ass w/ it. Either way, I didn't see it.

You keep mentioning them not beating Mac & Candyman as if that's the same thing. If your beloved went against Mac & Candy, they'd have to take Terry out in a stretcher. Bernsie would be covered in hives, hyperventilating.

Keep saying it and maybe, maybe, you can convince yourself that this is actually true.

Mac routinely obliterated B&B with Teinowitz. No reason to believe it wouldn't happen again.

As far as Silvaddle, they'd be more competitive. They would have to overcome the negative perception so many have of ESPN1000.

But they'd also definitely be a better show.
