And he knows he doesn't need to, because it's a new station competing against 2 established AM sports stations in a pretty bad sports town - so people don't expect much for a while (plus no one cares about night show ratings to begin with)

Jason's strategy is to piss off as many white Southerners as possible as fast as possible. He knows that the people in NYC who run CBS are liberals who despise everything about Southern white people. And Goff will be able to regale them with stories of the idiots who call his show or send him hate-tweets. Therefore, by pissing off Southerners, CBS bigwigs will love him and promote him to better shifts in better markets.

Goff got a lot of practice in white-hate with his feud with McNeil, and he's mercilessly deploying it in his Atlanta show (e.g. with White History Month segments). Truth be told, it will probably pay off.

I think the white history month idea is funny and creative...kind of a Blazing Saddles thing to do in Georgia. It should attract both listeners who like him for it and listeners who hate him for it.

When Goff first left I thought I'd listen to him every once in a while, maybe a couple times a week.... I have yet to listen to more than 2 minutes of his show.

oh comeon man, this isn't kill whitey stuff; it's innocuous. it's not like some secret lodge talking point that white people suck at basketball, altho in #2 when he makes the "one read blacks" comment you can tell by his inflection that he was sniping a little bit. i think it'd be a better bit if he stuck to basketball players, since that's where being white is pretty much an impediment to being good (save the occasional tom chambers or keith van horn)

i like 'em better than amattacola's B&B SPORTS MINUTES where everyone's falling over each other to laugh their ass off before he even finishes a sentence. that's weird. at least this is a pre-recorded bit that allows people to laugh if they want or merely be afforded the option to learn about some white history, cuz in the end, isn't that what white history month is really about?

4) That already has 2 sports talk stations

No one expects anything for at least the first year, so Goff is totally free to freelance. Therefore, he does whatever he thinks would please Bernstein - because he knows that the people who run CBS radio are just like Bernstein: elitist liberals (often Jewish) who despise white Southerners and take great pleasure in pissing them off.

Goff doesn't give a damn about the average Atlanta listener because they're not the people who will bump him up to mid-days in San Fran or DC and ultimately back to Chicago
