That statistic is silly. DST occuurs during the summer time where people are blasting the AC for 3 straight months. Of course more electricity is going to be used during that time.

Well, I assume the people that do those studies take that into account, but I don't really know, nor do I care. All I know is, the time change is really silly. Sometimes it's light, sometimes it's dark. Deal with it.

If you have kids and they play sports outside on fields that are not lighted, then they benefit from daylight savings time as well as the people who have to work outside and those who make deliveries later in the evening.
