because if he comes back and shows a couple games that he can still play, he becomes huge trade bait. hes not bringing us past lebron or durant... so get rid of him now and suck as hard as you can for the next two seasons. that should equate to 3 lotto picks plus whatever you get for rose, which is hopefully another lotto pick if he gets hurt on whatever team he goes to.

thats a chance at 4 lotto picks in the next 3 years. i think that is about what it will take to become a contending team.

I think they would consider a trade at this point because he's sort of damaged goods and his refusal to change his style of play suggests he's only going to be in the NBA for 8 to 10 years if that.

A couple other things to consider is that the Bulls still have Mirotic and that Charlotte Bobcats pick to come in the next few seasons.

His surgeries were April 28th and May 12th. So not even 11 months yet. If he were to come back tomorrow and injure himself again and be out another extended period of time the same people would be chastising him for not thinking about the long term benefit of the team.

Derrick Rose should come back because Dan Bernstein said that it's time. Terry agrees. I listen to them so I don't have to form my own opinions on anything, so today I'm definitely in the camp that says there will be hell to pay if he isn't back in time for the CSFMB Bulls Game on 3/23.
