I want Diaz to win but i think itll be a smother fest by GSP

Hendricks is a man on a mission and Condit needs a win badly after losing to GSP. I think Carlos will pull the same game plan he did against Diaz and dance around avoiding any serious exchanges. IF Condit comes out with his usual style of fighting this could he fotn

Dana White Says Vince McMahon Wanted To Fight Him In The UFC Or At WrestleMania
By Daniel Pena
Mar 16, 2013 - 3:09:31 AM

UFC President Dana White, who has drawn many comparisons to Vince McMahon, revealed in an interview Friday night on Canadian French sports network RDS that the WWE promoter had once proposed that they fight.

While being interviewed by former NHL player Denis Gauthier, Jr., whose wife is the sister of former WWE wrestlers Jacques and Raymond Rougeau, Gauthier jokingly asked White who would reign supreme if he were to be locked up inside a steel cage with McMahon. The UFC figurehead revealed that the fantasy duel could have become a reality.

"Let me tell you something, and I've never said this before ever in any interview anywhere. If Vince hear's this, he's going to go nuts. Vince is too old, which he won't think he is, and he'll go crazy. And he wanted to [fight] one time," remarked White.

"Vince wanted to fight me. Swear to God. Called me up and said, "Let's do it. We can either do it in the UFC, or let's do it at WrestleMania." And I said, "You are crazy."

White noted of the 67-year-old: "I always have said it, and I'll say it again; I respect Vince very much. But Vince is too old to be fighting anybody."

According to Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer, McMahon had proposed that White fight him at the 2011 pay-per-view event WrestleMania XXVII. It was the WWE chief's idea of a double main-event match—the other being John Cena vs. The Miz for the WWE Championship.

I haven't really given a damn about ufc much the last year or so, but that brought back the fire and the passion. you had curb stomps, guns at heads, hotel fights, dana going off on Ariel, etc and then Diaz apologizes in advance in case he fails his drug test. just really hoping it isn't 5 rounds of GSP laying on him

I'm a huge fan of both fighters, but I'm pulling for Diaz. I want to see how this would work with him as champ. Just seeing Dana put the belt on him would be great.

the odds on that fight kinda suck. GSP is a 5:1 favorite, which I think is about right. I don't see a Diaz Ko or Sub of GSP and GSP will lay on him for 5 rounds and get the win, but as a 5:1 favorite it's not a good bet imo. I like Dan Miller at +190 a LOT. The veteran will mop up on the prospect and the youngster will be gassed just after the entrance. Not ready for prime time. I think the top 3 fights will all go to decision imo, so if they're that even, I go with the underdog when betting.

UFC 158 Odds For The Main Card:

Georges St-Pierre (-500) vs. Nick Diaz (+400)
Johny Hendricks (-135) vs. Carlos Condit (+155)
Jake Ellenberger (-165) vs. Nate Marquardt (+145)
Nick Ring (-115) vs. Chris Camozzi (-105)
Mike Ricci (-270) vs. Colin Fletcher (+230)

UFC 158 Odds For The Under Card:

T.J. Dillashaw (-530) vs. Issei Tamura (+350)
Rick Story (-420) vs. Quinn Mulhern (+300)
Daron Cruickshank (-195) vs. John Makdessi (+155)
Jordan Mein (-270) vs. Dan Miller (+190)
Darren Elkins (-245) vs. Antonio Carvalho (+175)
Reuben Duran (-140) vs. George Roop (EVEN)
Patrick Cote (-190) vs. Bobby Voelker (+158)

Dana having to put the belt on Diaz is a story line in itself which is pretty awesome. Maybe he's send Joe Silva instead?

I really don't think GSP is going to lay on Diaz for 5 rounds. I think he is going to try and show he can beat him up both standing up and when he is on the ground. I look for him to really go with some strong ground and pound

Diaz cracks me up. An hour from his fight and he is back stage with jeans and a hoodie on, like he is getting ready for an alley fight

oh yeah this has been great so far.

Gotta think tho that the longer this goes the more likely Condit gets him. Hendricks keeps going forward blind. Condit will catch him

great great fight.

Love how both of those guys fought. Hendricks did not want any part of Condit standing up in the last round. Both of those guys are tough SOBs.

Yea - makes you wish all fights were 5 rounds.

Lets see if Diaz/GSP lives up to the hype!!

I'm rooting for Diaz to win but you can't swing after the bell dickhead. Just trash.

GSP is great - but man sometimes he is frustrating to watch. I want him to finish a fight. I cant' remember the last time he didn't go 5 rounds. BUt I will say he looks a lot worse for wear than most of his recent fights. I didnt' think Diaz did that much damage.

Yeah but you also have to credit the guys he fights too. Look at the last 2 fights--Condit and Diaz. Both of those guys are badass dudes, who are hardly ever finished. And it is not like GSP just laid on Diaz tonight. He took the offense to him all night. And hell, it is MMA, not boxing, so if you want to win then you gotta handle the ground game of GSP.

I agree - he didn't do the lay and pray tonight - he stood and went toe to toe. I give him all the credit in the world - I just want him to finish.

Kind of disappointed in Diaz and that exit interview. I know its emotional and the Diaz clan is ultra emo, but that was some interesting comments he made and implied.

I gotta say I am pretty excited about GSP vs. Hendricks. That is going to be an interesting matchup. Hendricks has so much power and maybe one of the only guys with good enough wrestling to get GSP down.
