Good news for B&B

Bad news for Colonel

Quote:
ESPN 1000, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, announced a revamped lineup Tuesday with "The Waddle & Silvy Show" moving to afternoons and "The Carmen & Jurko Show" switching to mid-days.

The moves will debut April 1.

Carmen DeFalco and John "Jurko" Jurkovic will move to the 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (CT) slot, leading into Tom Waddle and Marc "Silvy" Silverman from 2-6.

"Mike and Mike in the Morning continue to kick-off the day for ESPN Chicago and the full day line-up includes a supporting cast that is unparalleled," ESPN 1000 general manager John Cravens said in a statement. "As we celebrate our 15th anniversary, we continue to offer the best of national and local sports talk to our fans."

"Mike & Mike in the Morning" will now be followed by the addition of Colin Cowherd's "The Herd" from 9-10 a.m.

"Serving Chicago sports fans anytime, anywhere continues to be our primary goal," said Mo Davenport, senior vice president of ESPN Audio. "Our fans have the opportunity to listen to and interact with outstanding national and local personalities on air and on-line. With multiple platforms available, they have access to all of our shows and talent however and wherever they are."

Bernstein said it's fine to go against a "show that doesn't have any opinions".

I caught that too  Apparently he hasn't listened to his partner's stuttering and stammering for the last ten years.

Silvaddle will be ahead of B&B in the ratings by year's end.

Not when Harry becomes the third host on Boers and Bernstein.

If they replaced waddle with hood I'd agree.

Gonna still have the 1 hr intermission, then it will be bad.

BB might actually get more listeners from this.

Doing this on April 1st is a bit sneaky since that is the White Sox opener. So you might get a few people switching over if they don't want to hear Farmio and DJ. But in the end, I doubt it makes much difference. Maybe you jump for 17th to 15th.

That's what Bernsie said, The Herd 9-10, Jurk and Carm 10-2, and the Silvy and Waddle 2-6.

I think it is a questionable business decision to put Colin Cowherd on the air anywhere at anytime.

According to ShermanReport.com, "Carmen & Jurko" will be on from 10A-2P starting April 1st. The show you're referring from 1-2P weekdays is what's now called "SVP & Russillo", featuring Scott Van Pelt & Ryen Russillo from ESPN Radio's homebase in Bristol, CT.

How the hell did Russillo's parents come up with Ryen? I have seen Ryan and Rian but boy Ryen seems wrong.

Phil, I've had to correct myself. "Carmen & Jurko" will be on 10A-2P, not 10A-1P as ShermanReport.com originally listed.

As for why Ryen Russillo's name is spelled like that...Don't ask.

Phil, I'm not sure why Ryen Russillo spells his name like that. It sounds the same as Ryan...

I never said a show with Carmen was any good.

Both shows suck donkey balls.

It is good news for B&B that they put another crappy show up against them.

Speeps' revolution was as pointless as seasons 3-6 of Lost.

When does ESPN announce their change to the country and western format?

That would have a better shot at beating B&B than S& W

I wonder if this means no more "Jay Cutler Show" during football season. It seems like the Bears' QB had become more than just a friend of the program with those guys.
