does anybody else want to throw the radio out the window every time Carmen says "Ichiro"? It's like listening to John Miller say "Juan Uuuuribe" over and over again.

Considering I listen on a car sterio, this is an impossibility and not an option I am willing to explore.

what bugs me is that he seems insistent on keeping the japanese pronunciation--but he was always calling andres nocioni "nochioni".

plus saying it "eech-eedo" just draws attention to the name. just call him ichiro.

That would be the Italian pronunciation. Unfortunately for Carmen, Noce isn't Italian.
