Not sure if this has been discussed recently, but Noah is probably the Bulls' best tradeable asset. I'd like to see the Bulls see what kind packages they can put together around Noah to get someone who can help elevate the Bulls to the next level. Kevin Love, anyone?

Would you trade Noah for a lovely plate of asparagus?

Oops, didn't mean to imply they could get Love for Noah straight up, but that he'd be someone to target using Noah and other assets in a larger offer.

Kevin Love just got new paper. He's locked in for a long time. They aren't trading him.

But yeah, I'd be willing to trade anybody on the roster not named Derrick Rose at this point.

No. The SCORE's David Schuster squashed that on Facebook when the subject came up, and Schuster's a lot closer to the Bulls than any of us. Trading Joakim Noah isn't an option.

The Bulls should not categorize Noah as untradeable, that's just stupid. Everyone outside of Rose should be on the table for the right price. Overvaluing this roster guarantees long-term mediocrity, which is about where they're at right now, with or without Rose.

Trading Noah sounds like a new hourlong drama airing on CBS this summer.

if theyre mediocre with rose, and I do agree now that he is a proven vagina, that means rose is tradable too. I think we should send him packing his first good game before he blows out his pinky finger that ruins his career.

Steak.Dinner.Boom.

At this point in the Bulls timeline nothing should be off the table.

I don't think Noah's value has ever been higher than it is right now. Cash in as soon as you can, GarPax.

Here are the Bulls' most highly valued, tradeable assets:

Noah
Butler
Gibson or the Euro draft pick
Deng

Out of the three, I figure teams would be most intrigued by Noah over Butler, although that may change in the near future. Anyway, you can't trade Boozer (no value), and there's no cap space to sign free agents who probably won't come here anyway. Management should use Noah to acquire the type of player Boozer never was: someone who can command a double team, put pressure on the defense, and take over the scoring load for Rose when needed.

Years ago, when Devin Hester was regarded as a superstar, Dan Pompei argued that he should be traded immediately since, as a KR, his value would probably never be higher. At the time, I thought it was too big of a risk. In retrospect, the Bears should have taken the advice.

I think the Bulls have a similar situation here. I don't see how Noah can get any better, and he's pretty damn good. At the same time, the Bulls need to address Rose's lack of a teammate who causes headaches for defenses. Not sure who would be available in a trade, but I think you cash in on Noah by trading him for a guy who can score at a high level.

Love is an injury waiting to happen. No way I trade Noah for him.

I think Noah can (and will) get better offensively and given his ability to pass out of the high post, play D, etc. I don't see them trading him. How many quality 5's are there in the league anymore anyway??

Deng is definately tradeable and if they can trade Boozer for 2-3 guys to get the salaries to match up, then waive the guys that don't fit, they may be able to move his contract, but yea, that will be hard.

Maybe GarPax can get Uncle Jerry to amnesty Boozer, but I doubt he'd agree to it.

Let's hope Rose comes back hungry to prove he ain't the pussy that he is now and maybe they can find a way to compete next season vs Miami but that is asking alot.

Hopefully Mirotic proves to be real in a couple years and maybe they strike gold with Charlotte's pick in 2016. At that point, Wade should be done and maybe LeBron starts to get slow too giving the Bulls an opportunity again to reign supreme.

Next year they probably give this core one more year to get it done which is probably a pipe dream.

On June 10, 2008, Donaghy's attorney filed a court document alleging, among other things, that Game 6 of the 2002 Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings was fixed by two referees. The letter states that Donaghy "learned from Referee A that Referees A and F wanted to extend the series to seven games. Tim knew Referees A and F to be 'company men', always acting in the interest of the NBA, and that night, it was in the NBA's interest to add another game to the series." The Lakers won Game 6, attempting 18 more free throws than the Kings in the fourth quarter, and went on to win the 2002 NBA Finals. The teams were not named, but the Western Conference Finals was the only seven-game series that year. The document claimed that Donaghy told federal agents that to increase television ratings and ticket sales, "top executives of the NBA sought to manipulate games using referees". It also said that NBA officials would tell referees to not call technical fouls on certain players, and states that a referee was privately reprimanded by the league for ejecting a star player in the first quarter of a January 2000 game. Stern denied the accusations, calling Donaghy a "singing, cooperating witness".

Trade Noah, then spend the next five years looking for a guy like Noah.

Yep, right after The Mentalist.

Trading Noah, the story of a man with a superhuman ability to barter. He works with the police on hostage situations to get both the hostages and their captors out safe. Some on the force dont like him, but Noah wouldnt TRADE his job for anything

Noah is great, but it's easier to find a guy like Noah, or at least a poor man's version of Noah, than it is a guy who can flat out score.

The Bulls are clearly missing someone who can increase their capacity to score at will. Someone like Omar Asik could have easily stepped in for Noah and provided 70-80% of what Noah provides on both sides of the ball.

I think guys like Noah come from the Marcus Camby tree of offensively-challenged centers: Camby, Chandler, Wallace, Okafor, Dalembart, Ibaka, Perkins, Noah, Asik, and so on. There's no doubting the ability of these centers, but it's easier to find a guy who can rebound and provide great help defense than it is to find someone who can reshape your entire offensive repertoire.

I doubt Noah can improve his offense. His passing is already above average, and not everyone is capable of developing post moves and a decent jump shot. At age 27, or whatever he is, I think it's highly unlikely that he becomes a modest, reliable scoring threat.

Agree, also one that has running the floor as a big part of his game. He really does need to develop a move down low.!
