Just read that this year they are raising the price of Wrestlemania this year to $59 for standard def and $69 for HD. It's really a good thing this is such a great card this year.

Backstage News on a Kofi Kingston Heel Turn, Another HHH Change In WWE Developmental
By Marc Middleton
Mar 21, 2013 - 8:57:51 AM

- There have been discussions about turning Kofi Kingston heel with the idea that he's talented but has been booked in a way where they will never be able to get him over as a babyface without a heel turn and push first.

- A new change in WWE developmental is to give the talents bullet points instead of scripts and teaching them to do promos like they used to be done.

It's been noted that Triple H is far more old school in his thoughts on pro wrestling than Vince McMahon and when he's in full control, we will likely see the storylines evolve back to a more believable and serious approach

I like how HHH is fixing up the buisness for when.... Shane comes back to power and kicks him to the curb

WWE Wants a More Mom & Kid-Friendly Product, Backstage News on Vince McMahon
By Marc Middleton
Mar 21, 2013 - 9:00:49 AM

- We noted before how Vince McMahon has been more hands-on backstage at RAW with Eric Pankowski gone. Vince is said to have been really on his game the past two weeks and was described as being like the Vince of old - revitalized and healthy.

- As noted before, WWE is hiring for a new Vice President of WWE Kids Entertainment. They want someone who has worked in children's programming for at least ten years and is into kids pop culture and current trends.

WWE is planning a specific initiative to gear up to promote their product harder with kids and families. Specifically, they are looking at new ideas and initiatives to make the WWE brand stronger with mothers and their children.

Maria Menounos Wrestling at WrestleMania?, Update on a Randy Orton Heel Turn, More
By Marc Middleton

- There has been some talk of having Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns go over Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show at WrestleMania 29, leading to the long-awaited Orton heel turn.

- .99

If they do this and I think they will, do go with Orton as a leader of the Shield or just have Orton do it like leave his partners or just give them kicks after the match.

Why would you think that? He has done nothing of any relevance in any capacity in years. You know what don't answer - I need to just put your dumb ass on ignore.

Far be it from me to attempt to translate Chas into English. However, I think he means there will be an actual hurricane during the outdoor event. Not a funny talking guy in a mask. April in New York is hurricane season. Oh wait. No, it isn't. I'm back to this making absolutely zero fucking sense.

You are correct. There was never a wrestler who had the name Nor'easter or I would have used him. I got a feeling the weather is going to make this Epic Fail territory

Paul Bearer's Son Talks to TMZ About Approving CM Punk Angle on RAW
By Marc Middleton
Mar 22, 2013 - 8:16:06 AM

- It's been reported that Paul Bearer's sons signed off on the angle at RAW a few weeks back where CM Punk interrupted The Undertaker's tribute and disrespected the urn.

Paul's son Michael Moody tells TMZ that WWE creative approached the Moody family for permission before the angle went down on TV and the family approved of it.

Michael told TMZ:

"We felt that dad would have wanted us at RAW last week and agreed to the angle … We knew Dad wouldn't have wanted it any other way."

Kane recently spoke with NorfolkNavyFlagship.com to promote WrestleMania. Here are some highlights:

JM: With the unfortunate passing of Paul Bearer, would you like to share how he impacted your career?

K: He was an integral part of my early years as Kane. Without Paul Bearer, there wouldn’t have been a Kane, because he was such an important part of that story. Also, we traveled together for a few years, so it was a loss on a personal level for me as well. He came back and managed me in 2010 when I was World Champion, which was really cool – again against The Undertaker. Just like everyone else, I was a big fan of Paul Bearer and Percy Pringle, and all of the other names that he went by. It was a tough loss for everybody. We went to the viewing and what was really amazing was there were flowers there from all over the country – really, all over the world. It was nice to see an outpouring of affection from fans all over the place.

JM: You’ve been in the WWE for nearly 18 years now. What do you attribute to your longevity?

K: Well, I work hard and I show up. I’ve been very fortunate that I haven’t gotten injured a bunch. I try to take care of myself. I think, too, my size gives me an advantage in some ways. I’m not always the guy getting knocked down a whole lot. My body probably hasn’t been punished as much as the other guys have been. I think it’s because I show up everyday and I try to do my best – give everything I have.

JM: You’re currently one half of the WWE Tag-Team Champions and you’ve had various tag-team partners throughout the years. How would you compare your current partner (Daniel Bryan) to other partners in your past?

K: Well, he’s different – that’s for sure. What’s cool about Daniel Bryan is that I have now been able to do something that I’ve never been able to do before. Kane has always been sort of a dark character. With Daniel Bryan, we’ve been able to add a lot more lightheartedness, some humor and a lot of comedy. It works even better because it’s such a contrast from what I’ve normally done in the past. He’s completely different than any tag-team partner I’ve ever had. He’s a pain – a monumental pain to get along with. It’s like the odd couple, and somehow, I’ve become the voice of sanity. I don’t know how that’s happened – he’ll do that to you.

JM: WrestleMania 29 is coming up (April 7, live on Pay-Per-View) and we know that The Rock will be defending his WWE Championship against John Cena in a rematch from the main event of WrestleMania 28. Do you have a prediction for which way this match will go?

K: I don’t, and who knows – John Cena made the mistake last year at the last stage of their match when he went to do Rock’s People’s Elbow and it cost him the match. I’m not saying that John Cena would take The Rock lightly, but I think this year he’ll be even more serious about it. I think The Rock is going to be in for more than he may have bargained for.

The new Orton character with the sleeves, etc. has definitely shit the bag. I have zero interest in him being involved with The Shield. They have no need. Ambrose can talk, Rollins can work, and Reigns can grunt. Perfect.

WWE Smackdown house show results
March 23, 2013
Norfolk, Va.
Results submitted by Cohen, PWTorch correspondent

The biggest story of the house show was a potential, unconfirmed injury to Mark Henry, whose match with Kane was reportedly cut short due to a possible leg injury. It remains to be seen the severity of the reported injury
