These announcers on CBS are brutal. They act like this was the biggest upset that we have seen in years.

Yesterday, Seth Davis said on twitter that the seas had parted for Gonzaga.

Not too surprised to be honest. Watching them, I am not sure how they were #1 overall.

I agree, though I saw something about the most wins (6 I think) by 12+ teams.

These are Seth Davis' last two tweets:

1. The only thing this proves is how silly the number one seed/discussion is. Who cares anyway? You make the tournament, you play the games.

They spend hours on air discussing this stuff, but now it's silly.

2. Did Georgetown's loss prove that it shouldn't have been a 2 seed? Maybe Harvard should have been a 5? Dumbass committee.

CBS, and others, spend countless time on air hyping the big 6 conferences.

Unfollow.

This is why I don't do brackets anymore and just enjoy the games. I would not have been nearly as excited watching the Florida Gulf Coast alley oop at the end of the game if G-town was one of my Final Four teams.

It wouldn't be a game, the Bobcats would waste them.

i know, that's why i'd watch it. fuck college basketball.... it's overrated crap that's too white and fundamental for my entertainment dollar. if i wanted to see pass pass failed penetration pass pass pass failed penetration pass pass forced-jumper/flailing-at-the-basket i'd watch the WNBA if only because spotting the big money bulldykes in the first few rows is a pastime of mine

1. This really shoots down the Illinians who rested on the fact that they beat the #1 seed!

2. Brings my AZ Cats into a share of the spotlight. Yes, that Ohio St v AZ game might be your Final 4 entry right there and I do have Az as a Final 4. Big, talented, good guards, but sometimes young, soft , unfocused. Think they get full of themselves and nobody steps up. Something they need to learn.

If college hoops suck so much and the NBA is so great, how could the Bulls with some of the best athletes in the world only score 39 points in a 24 minute half? The Illini had 37 in twenty minutes on Friday and they're terrible.

Probably has something to do with once they turn pro, they transform from mediocre brick layin' goofs into the WORLDS GREATEST ATHLETES!!! Must be the better hotels.

They spend too much time opening mail, and not enough time working on their game.

Points from trying hard don't count as much as points that put the food on a family's damn table. When you adjust for that (search engines, historically AltaVista but more recently Google, are good about having a conversion tool readily available), the Bulls actually accomplished more. Probably because they practice before games, which nobody else does in any other sport at any level.

They should've lost to Davidson on Thursday.

I got to watch more NCAA tournament games this year than I have in quite a while. It left me a little Bernstienish in that there is not a single team that can close out a game. The final minute of close games seemed to be an unending exchange of mistakes rather than successes.
