I never said he wasn't annoying (although I don't think he was) I just said that certain people bitched a metric ton about Mini-Ditka and how bad his threads were and that anyone who posted in said threads was an idiot....but those some people would, uh, POST IN EVERY THE MINI-DITKA THREADS multiple times.

He took his banning like a man, was honest to BigFan and now he is gone. Although I, *gasp* agree 312Player that there are plenty of threads started on CFSMB at any given time that are worse than any innocuous question thread by Mini-Ditika.

My favorite Mini Ditka moment ever was this week. He started a thread in the NHL folder asking why the Toronto Maple Leafs aren't the Toronto Maple Leaves. (If he were a real hockey fan, he'd have pointed out the irony of the MLSE's largest investor once being the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.) I explained that "Maple Leafs" as a team name is a neologism and thus not necessarily subject to that pluralization, without quoting the original post, so he changed the entire thread subject and body to asking if the Blackhawks would still play the Red Wings after realignment, so that my post was an utter non-sequitur. What a weirdo.

As many posters have noted, he at least had an interest in marketing trends, and if he wasn't employed in that field, it certainly is an odd "hobby". Or perhaps, a form of OCD-like compulsion.

If only this place had a shrink's couch where we could examine the multitude of diagnosii exhibited by various posters... or perhaps someone will start a Mini Ditkaesque thread on the subject.

If Curious Hair was banned, while he's probably the best poster here, that's a problem. I also could be misreading things.

If I was Big Fan, the board would have far less freedom of speech. Pretty much everyone would hate me. That said, I would like to see more consistency.
