My first fantasy league was the Roman Gladiators league circa 180 AD. I lost because that asshole Russell Crowe won.

Let me say one last thing

How many of you great fantasy players ever pay for a service or buy a fantasy magazine? Stats say out of the 15 Million guys playing fantasy sports the average person spend $154..... Why would any of you spend a $1.00 if you have been playing fantasy sports for 20+ years? Based on that you have all you need. I will wager any of you my top 20 rankings across the board for all positions vs. the one you come up and not copy and paste from service or book your purchase.

BY the way this so called young and inexperienced fantasy player is previewed as one of the industry top 20 experts in the #1 fantasy publication the Fantasy Football index. Over 600k circulation, Feel free to pick up at newsstands this week and open to page 52 and then check my ranking with the other 19 experts...... also view my WR breakdown on page #69

What makes me a fantasy expert is I chased my passion and my dream and spent countless hours making it a business. Any of you could have easily have done the same I choose to chase it........

Where was the joke? I simply asked him if he was a midget.

They joke enough about him on the air so I thought I'd ask.

Okay.

I'm short. I don't mind an occasional short joke but a lot of people can be fairly mean about it. As if they are somehow better than me because they grew. It pisses me off.

if you can be better than someone by being a certain skin color, then certainly you can be better than those shorter than you :p

Same could be said for your lame J Hood thread which is in the MJH section. Leave the guy alone. Don't click on the thread then . I like the pounding of the Midget . At least he does a show with Tiny which would warrent him posting in this section . Hood posts should be in the "Part time , fill ins" section .

I would like to plug the fact I have nothing to plug.

Deep, I'm not trying to bust your balls or anything but there is a section on this site devoted to plugging shit. I think you're in the wrong section. No offense but I don't come to the MJH section to be bombarded with plugs and advertisements. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

Too late Stu. I don't fee like fighting anymore. I'm in a good mood today.

By the way, I didn't start the lame J. Hood thread. But I will continue to spread the "Hood News" far and wide until he gets a full time slot.

And find the right section for your "plug".

Fair points, Ed. Whether it be a stockbroker, a gambling advisor or a fantasy football advisor, people who do their homework can provide a valuable service. Just to clarify, I don't have a problem with "young" per se. I have a problem with pretentious plugs and shameless self promotion. Deep himself proved my point. I don't need to say any more.

I would hope your fantasy analysis is much better than your baseball management analysis.

This would be an interesting addendum to the wagering section during football season. Anybody want to volunteer his computing skills to keep a running tab? We could keep it to just QB, RB and WR for simplicity sake. All top 20 positional lists must be submitted no later than September 4. Make it a kind of beat the champ.

The two big questions; 1. What is the scoring format for the players 2. what is the scoring format within our competition.

This could be fun.

Speaking of that, can we get another CSFMB fantasy league going? I didn't make the cut for the other one.

Nas, as the keeper of our fantasy league, I think you should set odds on the players. As the winner of the league two years ago and winner of the regular season last year, I am too close to it to be objective. You, however, as a playoff loser two years ago and an also-ran last year, are probably in a more objective position to set the odds.

(where is the emoticon for ducking an expected barrage of return fire trash talk?)

Does the average person really spend $150 on fantasy football materials each year? I MIGHT buy one magazine before a draft, then I use the materials provided by the league and combine it with my own knowledge. I am no worse than competitive using these tools.

Yeah, if you count the $125 buy-in for my league.
