Another week, another race JPM finishes behind Danica.

Giggity.

Another uncompetitive effort by the #10 car. Spent virtually the entire race a lap down and a good 5 mph slower than the lead cars. A 26th place finish that only a vulture could be proud of.

Go Daddy got quite a bit of press today at a race. The car it sponsors in the Nascar Cup series was uncompetitive and rarely if ever seen on television this afternoon.......but down in St. Petersburg James Hinchcliffe had no problem driving his Go Daddy sponsored car to victory lane in the season opener for the Indy car series. Its amazing what can happen when they sponsor a good driver.

Juan Pablo Montoya could use some lessons on how to be competitive from Danica.

Vroom vroom.

JPM isn't in Nascar because of his looks and isn't being forced on us constantly by the media.
I realize that you are doing a bit, but I'm just sayin'

I agree. He doesn't bring anything to NASCAR.

He obviously can't drive that well.

Sweetcheeks' first trip to Martinsville will certainly be an experience for her, as well as any driver who is near her on the track.

Here's how Danny has finished thus far this season:

17
8
39
33
28
26

At least she's improving!

Once again, JPM isnt being shoved down our throats like Danny is with undue praise & PR. Plus, you might want to take a look at JPM's career stats & compare them to Dannys. He's actually won a bunch of races & has a slew of top 5 & top 10 finishes. He got to where he is based on his driving skills, not on his looks & T&A.
You should reconsider this bit.

The winner of the F1 race over the weekend had to apologize for winning the race.

He was supposed to let his teammate win and now people are calling for him to be suspended for 1 race.

That's all I need to know.

Team orders in F1 are ridiculous. Everyone always categorically denies they exist, but they obviously are in place from the top teams all the way down to the also-rans. This, and the complicated regulations changes on a year-to-year basis (and even race-to-race) are what makes it hard for fans in this country to ever embrace it.

Let's just say, hypothetically, that Danica wasn't a very good driver and is there primarily due to her looks.

What would you want her to say or do? Wouldn't she be a fool to turn down all of these opportunities?

Again, that's simply hypothetically.

Since Scorehead wont answer, I'm throwing this out to the gallery.

It isn't hypothetical to call Danny a lousy driver.

I'm not a big fan of people like Danny, Anna Kournakova, Paris Hilton, & hundreds of other people with no talent who got where they are on their looks & ridiculous promotion from the media rather than on talent.

Except for the examples cited are a poor comparison. Kourmikova never even won a single WTA tournament. Hilton is roundly acknowledged as a joke in whatever you consider her arena, so i'm not sure how she is even relevant to your contentions. If you are going to constantly cite results of her mediocre performance in her rookie season, there really is no disputing the results from circuits past that indicate she is the most accomplished female driver ever.

I've never argued seriously that she is a great driver in NASCAR, even a good driver, and possibly not even an average driver, it's just too early to tell. Like Noisewater, I just don't think she should be immediately drummed out of the sport based on results. It's two different arguments really, not much more can really be said on the topic.

I see the difference you see.

You don't like women being pushed by the media, but have no problem with men getting shoved down your throat.

Her presence is currently a mockery to the rest of the drivers. She isn't even remotely close to being competitive despite having a car, crew and the funding of a front running team. You all can have fun trying to spin her finishing place but she just sits in the back out of trouble while getting lapped and she eventually finishes in front of those drivers that crashed or broke. The start and park guys are running the same speeds as her with garbage equipment. For someone who needs all the time on the track they can get she isn't even running a nationwide schedule and is instead going to award shows and doing interviews when she could be getting extra experience......so that maybe she doesn't look completely incompetent on Sunday.

She is a marketing scam and nothing more. Fucking Jennifer Jo Cobb would finish higher than her.

The complaint last year was she was too aggressive and caused crashes.

Now the complaint is she's too passive and finishes higher because of it.

Do you think a woman has the physical strength to do it? What does it take to wrestle that wheel for 3-4 hours?

She is tiny. NASCAR cars are a bitch to drive compared to Indy cars. To answer your question, no.

she will probably be 15 laps down on a road course. at 200mph, a baby could turn a nascar. at 20mph for half the day, danica will break.
