But, I thought professionals showed up to play every game. I thought professionals weren't affected by emotion and other non-tangibles.

And for as strong as LeBron is, what was the deal with almost dying after getting the heel of Flea Robinson's hand in the air. Christ, Ray Allen thought he was over acting.

LeBron didn't seem so big tonight overall. boozer was a big reason for that.

I was just pointing out how there are so many Dan Bernstein references in non-B&B threads.

He's the leading sports commentator in town afaik, he makes hay saying all kinds of shit for 5 hours a day 5 times a week - way too much to actually keep front of mind at all times, co-hosts a segment called WYC, does make self-depricating statements from time to time, so kinda makes sense to me.

Great win. The fact that I predicted it makes it a little sweeter. I love this Kirk Hinrich. If the Bulls didn't dump him I really believe they would have beaten the Heat and won the title a couple years ago. Thibs is a hell of a coach. They Bulls were missing half their roster and the Heat played well but the Bulls found a way to win. Heart can beat talent.

Why did they get rid of Hinrich? Cap ramifications? It seemed like they were too swift to throw him to the wayside. Team captain for years, gets traded to Washington for a bag of mail. At the risk of sounding like a champion of White Basketball, it sucked. 2005 got me back into the Bulls.

There was a chance they could sign 2 full boat guys so they traded him and a 1st round pick for a bag of balls. If they would have known they weren't going to get LeBron or Bosh they would have kept Kirk.

I'm a Hinrich fan too, but getting rid of him a couple years ago to enter the Lebron sweepstakes was the right call.

I'm glad he's back now and wish he's around when the Bulls hopefully become more relevant.

It was the right call but he was exactly what they needed. It sucked not having him.

Hinrich is a tough player and a legitimately good defender. They guy is a great asset to a playoff contender. Would've been great to have him two years ago to throw at Wade, but you're right when you say they made the right call.

He probably can't do it anymore but I've never seen anyone guard Wade as well as Hinrich would. The refs did him no favors with many of the b.s. foul calls.

He was making Luol Deng/Rondo money. It was clearly the right move to part ways.

Yeah, and fuck Miami too. Bulls.

Allen the past few years has guarded Wade well, but that wasn't prime, ultra quick Wade of 04-09. Hinrich did an awesome job on this Wade.

I missed the flagrant foul / James thing. Someone fill me in on that? Thx I'll sit down for my answer.

The previous Heat possession, LBJ was, as is his custom, making his way to the basket as though he were alone on the court; however, to keep him from an easy slam, he was fouled by Taj who, in the process of keeping him from getting the shot up, ended up inadvertently slamming him (not terribly hard) because his forearm ended up squarely planted into LBJs chest. Refs review, obviously no intent, no flagrant foul for his majesty.

His highness is less than pleased with this.

Very next Bulls possession, Boozer sets a screen and, quite obviously to all viewers, as LBJ comes through the screen he lowers his shoulder and lets Boozer really have it, though to his credit Boozer is mostly unaffected by the "message sending" shot leveled by LBJ. Refs call the foul, review it, flagrant foul called due to intent, Boozer makes 1 of 2 penalty free throws, LBJ appears to be shocked and/or appalled that the refs would call such a thing, yada yada yada, Lobster Bisque for the Bulls.
