I appreciate you hayseeds traveling to the big city on your break but try adding something other than Ohio State wear to your wardrobe while you are here.

You have no idea. Went to Miami University and got to experience people cheering for Ohio State even when playing the school they are attending. It's a disease. Buckeye fans are the absolute worst.

 Mother is from Cleveland so visited family often and caught the disease. I know exactly what you're talking about. (I actually have more Buckeye gear than IU )

The only school in Ohio the students don't root for the Buckeyes is probably Cincinnati.

Who else are they supposed to root for? The Browns or Blue Jackets?

Ohio St is the most popular thing in that state and there isn't even a close second. Always blew my mind, no matter the sport, people who attended Miami were cheering for Ohio St. when they played.

Tell me about it. Their obsession with that god damn school that none of them even attended is sickening. It literally is everyone that parades around wearing osu clothing. At least I live so close to WV that I get a good mix of WVU fans.

I have found them to be among the most obnoxious fans after attending a Northwestern football game.
My brother lived in Columbus for a time and it was pretty crazy there. I am all for school spirit and
supporting your team but they take it to another level. We had to run to the grocery store to grab
something and the football game was pumped through the PA system for everyone to hear. Growing
up a Michigan fan doesn't help my feelings.

I 've been to a few Bucks-UM football games. Maybe I went to the wrong places in Ann Arbor but the discrepancy between Columbus gameday and Ann Arbor gameday is pretty huge.

It's not even school spirit that is annoying. What kind of Goober packs their OSU wear as their going out for a night on the town in the big city clothes.

That's probably all that they own.

Can you elaborate?

It may be because I'm more familiar with Columbus and Ohio State campus.
But High Street their main road cutting through campus is a nuthouse. Storefronts are pumping Hang on Sloopy, Buckeye Battle Cry, Carmen Ohio etc. I saw a few modified cars with the speaker like in Blues Brothers playing those songs and chirping at passing Wolverine. Random parking lots for businesses closed on the weekend were occupied with tailgaters. Frats, as you would expect, were a madhouse.

I may not gotten the full Ann Arbor experience and picked the wrong weekend as it was Thanksgiving weekend both times I went. Their campus/downtown was alive but didn't have the electricity or obnoxious behavior of the rube Buckeyes. We went to buddies frat house which was pretty fun. But, like their stadium crowds, I thought the atmosphere was a bit too reserved.

Fair enough, I have never been on campus for a game day at either school. The Horseshoe is impressive to
look at from a distance but have no interest in going inside during a game. I'd like to see the Big House
and Michigan campus at some point. Camp Randall and Madison is a great place to see a game and while
the fans are rabid they are generally pretty nice people. You can have a good or bad experience anywhere
of course. Illini games are for the die hard fan. Most people in town seem surprised there is a game going
on Saturdays.

Yep. Wife is from Ohio and went to Miami and I witnessed this first hand. And going out in Columbus, all people wear is OSU gear. Everywhere. Its insanity. I felt overdressed wearing a polo and jeans.

Her parents got my first daughter an OSU onesie when she was born, I told them she will never wear that so lets stop this before it starts. I slept on the couch that night but it was well worth it as they have not brought anymore of that into my house.

You can tell his return has sucked all the fun out of the studio. They were having a grand time and loving life when he was gone and now captain buzzkill candyman is back.

Having lived in Ohio in my past, I agree with this nomination.
I had a choice between working at an OSU campus and a PSU campus. I picked Penn State.
Even with everything that has happened since, I would still pick PSU.

Michigan St. fans are infinitely worse than Ohio State fans, but I can see your point.

There is absolutely no chance in hell of that being true.

Used to go to the Gin Mill on Lincoln next to the BW3s often. Most ignorant assholes I have met during basketball season. I have stories. Never really had a problem with the few Ohio State fans I know.

Having lived in both the Lansing and Columbus areas, without being a supporter of either school, I can say that in my experience that Ohio State fans are worse than Michigan State fans.

but the reason I'm douchebagging sets them apart. They came here specifically for the big city experience yet knowingly choose the country bumpkin look

I bet they take forever to cross the street because they're too busy staring slack-jawed at tall buildings, too.
