Don't think I'll be watching any baseball until the Cardinals first pitch at 9 tonight.

ESPN & ESPN2 have the games nationally today & tonight. ESPN has Red Sox/Yankees right now, followed by Giants/Dodgers at 3P-ish. ESPN2 has a pair tonight with Phillies/Braves & Cardinals/D-Backs starting at 6P.

Thanks. MLB Network has some 15 hours of live programming right now. They'll get going with Orioles/Rays tomorrow at 2P. Needless to say, good seats available.

Not impossible. Even though it's early afternoon, "MLB Tonight" is actually on right now.

How can you show 15 hours of coverage all at once?

Uh, they started live this morning with "The Rundown", which usually sets the table for the day's action, whether MLBN has a ballgame on their air or not...That was 10A this morning.

Someday I have to get you doing some vocal samples of your coverage/reporting so I can do my ode to the Orb's "Little Fluffy Clouds".... just with more SPORTS/ATTITUDE/BITE.

also, make that 2 for harper. holy shit he killed that one.

edit: fuck.... i mis-attributed that to the brothers hartnoll, aka orbital. ;askfjldsfjlasd

i swear to god if you in any way besmirch the flawless name of colonel abrams in lieu of "the struggle" i'll discover a way to become omnipotent and then retard your family's bloodline to such a comedic effect that blackadder will look like upward mobility.... got that?

oh and 18 in a row for stephen strasburg. only hit? juan pierre. i started him over brandon moss.... if fucking coghlan swings and misses i get my SB and it's exactly what i figured what would happen.

harper's up again. I'll practice my omnipotence by keeping tuffy rhodes' legacy intact.... and he showed bunt. uh huh.

Marlon Byrd's dead ass is 2 for 3 with 2 rbi so far today for the Mets. It only took him about 3 months and 50 games to achieve that last season.

Well good, Matt Holliday did something stupid (running into the tag at third) to make up for the first run of the season...I didn't know how to handle cheering for him.

What hasn’t been announced yet but is expected to be today (based on reports from numerous reliable sources of mine) is the elimination of the navy blue “STL” caps on their road uniform. The Cardinals have worn the navy blue caps with their road uniforms since 1992.

It shouldn’t take that long to get used to for Cardinals fans, the team did wear the red caps with grey uniforms from 1985-91 (and 1965-75 before that), not to mention for most of their Spring Training games over the past decade.

Still doesn't look right...liked the road blues a lot...

Joe Strauss ‏@JoeStrauss 2m
So Holliday drives in season's first run and the BFIB quickly maul him for baserunning lapse. #SoundsRight

The guy has done plenty of stupid shit over his tenure here to deserve that "mauling"...

...speaking of which, he's already in mid-season form, check swinging at shit in the dirt. Ump at first saved him with a bad call.

It is impossible to overstate just how valuable Matt Carpenter is to this team...nice to have a guy who can step into the corners of the infield and outfield at a moments notice and provide solid contributions with both the bat and the glove.

btw yu darvish has 11k through 6IP.... oh yeah, and a perfect game going.

once again, the MLB extra innings package is free this week. example: my guy vinnie pestano looked filthy against the top of the jays lineup.
