How often do you think Larry says to her 'Hey, why don't you come on my show?"

I dont think these girls dislike Laurence

I think they look at him like a little brother

100% agree, if thats his intention, nice work!

Is it at all possible that we aren't aware of what does or does not go on in Laurence's personal life? Just wanted to throw that one out there...

Possible, but seriously, he pretty much details most of his personal life on the show.

Nah, not really. Just like everyone else, he shares what he chooses to share. We aren't aware of anything other than what he talks about. I know we like to think that we have these guys figured out, but we don't. All we know is that he is doing very well professionally right now...

Would be awesome if we could get in touch with one of his students. I'm sure Leary's advice/teachings are pure gold. Gold, Jerry, gold!

Heard "Bust A Move" today and thought of Leary during the line "Your best friend Harry has a brother Larry." Except, in my head it was LoHo's version "Your best friend Heary has a brother Leary."

but the things he shares tell more than he might know he is sharing. He goes to Arizona, alone, and attends spring training games, alone. You never hear him say, "I went to this thing over the weekend with friends". If he had a steady relationship, do you think that person would be cool with him drooling over women on the air?

Didn't someone here detail what a party at his condo was like?

Yes, really.

Laurence shares waaay more than the other hosts. Seriously I know you listen but next time you listen to a good chunk of his night show, afterwards think about all the personal stories he tells.

Of course we have these guys figured out. I mean, there's always a chance we're wrong, but its just like someone you work with or a friend of a friend.

I mean, if youre saying that there are always possibilities of surprises, I agree. But Laurence and other hosts are no more a mystery than people we interact with daily.

Yeah, I mean it would be very strange for him to tell as many personal stories as he does and then leaving out a bunch of friends and ladyfriends.

He does mention hanging with Hood once in a while and watchiing a game with Goff

He's one of those guys where work is his whole life. Its not even that uncommon.

Yes, there is a chance were missing stuff, but probably not

Nope. None of us know him or that much about him. We don't know if the things he shares are true or not. I know we all fancy ourselves sports radio detectives around here, but most of us have limited dealings in real life with these people.

Just the way it is. I know people don't like some of the things he says or the way he acts on air, but to pretend to have him or anyone else all figured out is silly. But that's what we specialize in here, so I get it. That's part of the boards appeal. Fantasy camp...

Of course we do. Dont be so dismissive.

Its not unique to this board and radio hosts. You can know a person without being their best friend.

As I said, unless you are saying No one REALLY knows anyone, in which case I agree.

If you are saying listening to a radio host daily over a period of years doesnt mean you know anything about the person's personal life, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Didn't say "anything", just saying you know what he tells you. You have no idea what is real or what he has left out. That goes for any host.

I have a theory that a certain Score host is most likely homosexual. I base this on a number of things. Does it mean it's true? Absolutely not. He could be the straightest guy in he world. Maybe he does a great job of keeping parts of his life private. Maybe he doesn't. Who knows.

It just seems like with Laurence, more than anyone else, people love to make these declarations as though they have a real handle on him. You may have a theory based on something you've heard, but in the end it's just your thought. It isn't based on any personal knowledge but rather stories he tells or behavior you attempt to analyze over the radio.

And I'm only being as dismisive as you are with what I'm saying. My whole point is nobody really knows...

I don't think "Score Blogger" is considered a host.

Right, you could say that about work acquaintances too.

Of course there is a chance you are wrong, but you're probably right. You act as if there is no such thing as reading people and the things they say.

Yeah, Laurence is a target here. I agree.

But I do it with everyone. I might be wrong, but probably not in most cases.

It comes off like you're saying, "No there's no chance you guys are right". We know nothing about him.

Sure we dont know but there's a good chance you can get a pretty good idea, especially the hosts who share so much.

I mean Mike North might be a scholarly civil rights champion in his free time, but probably not.

Guys like Mac and Laurence share a ton of stuff. Jurko and Boers on the other hand dont. I feel like I have a better idea of what Mac and Laurence are in real life than Jurk and Boers.

But yes, it is all unverified and could be way off. But that is not likely, imo

I'd agree if you mean that we don't know if he is burying prostitutes in his crawl space. I think you know enough about the basics and can extrapolate a little.
