I like em both though

Without a doubt. Both would be the cornerstone of any franchise for at least the next 15 years.

I wrote Trout while I meant to write Harper. Harper has more room for improvement.

That's fine. I think your franchise would be in great shape with either of them.

Absolutely, Nas

Hope we have some exciting rookies this year. Myers should be up soon.

I'm interested in seeing if can Hamilton play the same way at the major league level. That Reds lineup would be unfair if he can. I see them and the Nationals battling it out for at least the next few years.

Yeah, I thought he would start the season in the majors, but my buddy NSJ told me he's starting in AAA.

Guess it depends on service time and Cozart.

A lot of people dont know Hamilton is actually a good prospect. I think a lot of people just think he's a specialist with the SB's

They have a hole in the outfield with Ludwick out. Heisey can be serviceable but I would expect Hamilton to be in the majors by June if all goes well. Then you can move Choo to LF. The Cubs are going to need a couple miracles to compete against those teams in 3 or 4 years.

Eh...shit happens in 3 to 4 years.

Dusty kills arms. Votto gets hurt 3 more times. Phillips gets traded.

Im hoping. They have Walt Jocketty though. Thats not good for the Cubs

The Cubs will definitely have the flexibility to make some major moves if needed. Hopefully they can get back a couple top tier prospects in trades. Rizzo was a steal.

That's just the Reds. You'll still have to face Strasburg 2 times in any series and Harper will be a superstar by that time.

True. Especially if what Gio is doing is natural. I would be surprised if he were better than Strasburg though. I guess this is what Wood and Prior was supposed to look like. Gonzalez would look great next to Sale.

I mean, its possible but I dont see it.

Didnt Gio get caught cheating too?

Dont forget the Braves who are quietly putting together a nucleus of great young and young-ish players.

The fact that Strasberg has already gone thru 1 Tommy John surgery.

Remember, as Elmhurst Steve reminds us, pitchers are going to get hurt. Gio could too obviously, but if Strasberg has another major injury to his shoulder who knows how or if he will comeback.

Gotta think the A's will be ready to trade Cespedes at some point. Hopefully the Cubs will be interested.

If Bryce Harper started this season in Double A he'd be the 3rd youngest player in the league.

Almost as ridiculous as your assertion that Brett Jackson is a major league player.

You should have tried that with your guy Randy wells.

Tommy john surgery is nothing, guys are having it done now when it isn't needed . Gio will never be as good as s.s.

I was just kidding. But right now it's looking more like Jordan and Drexler than Magic and Bird.

get back to me in 15 years. Harper looks like Mark McGwire in his prime right now.
