So, I get a text from my credit card company asking if I had done a transaction in a southern state. Since I don't live in a southern state, I clearly said no. They tell me where it is from and it's a car dealership. I report it as fraud and now my credit card company is taking care of it.

I google the place, and it's a Mercedes dealership. It turns out my identity thief is doing a lot better than I am financially. If you are going to steal someones identity, at least be frugal with how you spend my money.

I guess I should amend this. It could be a woman too. If they can play in the NBA, they can steal identities just as well as men too.

He should have went to a Dodge dealer. Would have gotten away with it.

I don't know how you buy a car on a credit card but I don't think they were attempting to buy a whole car. It was my assumption that they either drive a Mercedes already and were buying accessories or it was somehow part of a down payment.

I've never even been in a Mercedes dealership and I'm an honest hard working American. Thanks Obama!

Didnt know Mercedes took Diner's Club

I looked into putting a car we were looking at for my Mother-in-law on my Visa to get airline miles but the dealership said they could only charge up to $2,000. (it was a reasonably priced used car and she was going to pay cash.)
