He care more about looking good than he does about winning. Next to Miami no other city would give him a better chance to win. Fuck him.

Someone should let him know that the arm sleeves look kinda burrito if he is so concerned about looking good.

He could still be headed here. Adidas doesn't want two guys in the same market, but right now we don't have any adidas guys.

Howard is an infantile bitch but I'd still take him. If he were on the Bulls, I'd pin my hopes on him getting his act together and actually working on his game so he can dominate the league like he should.

I think that's a gamble worth taking. Blow up the team to acquire Howard and see what happens. Even if it doesn't work out, I'd rather having Rose and cap space vs having a team that's already reached its collective ceiling.

Why? He's almost 30 now. He can't get his act right playing next to this generations MJ. Why would he all of a sudden care about winning after getting away from Kobe? Fortunately we don't have to worry about adding a loser to the mix. Thibs would try to kill him before the end of the first week of camp.

I share your skepticism. However, Howard is around 26 or 27, so he's still within his peak range.

Despite his immaturity, I think if you're on the outside looking in, and you have a chance to get him, you go and get him. I think a team led by Howard and Rose has a higher ceiling than the current Rose-Deng-Noah mix, and that's why I'd do it.

I think if you put Noah and Deng on the Lakers they would have a great chance of coming out of the West. Kobe would love to play with 2 guys like that. Nothing matters more than winning to them.

Well, you forget that they are currently coached by a quack who probably wouldn't know what to do with such a deep roster.

He also doesn't coach defense either.

I agree. It has to be mental. I just want him to stay away from my Bulls and fortunately I will never have to worry about him.

He's a clown but a clown worth having if he can draw double teams in the post and free up the court for Rose and the Bulls' other penetrator who has yet to be named.

Phil Jackson would have been perfect for this guy. The Lakers' GM should merit serious scrutiny for the way he handled the coaching search.

Blame Jim Buss. He is a complete idiot for not hiring Phil. I though Kobe could get to Dwight but I was wrong. I'm not sure how you can watch a guy like Kobe give his all pretty much every night and not try to match it. He actually does the opposite. He had 3 rebounds Sunday against the Clippers. Even Eddy Curry managed to get more than that. IMO he is a cancer because he only cares about himself. Winning will never be the most important thing to him. It's really sad too.

Hmm...interesting. In any case, the Lakers are a mess. They just wasted a year of good Kobe and are paying two coaches, both of whom suck. They may just have to keep D'Antoni around to avoid paying three coaches next year.

I still think they should have given Phil whatever he wanted. At worst, they'd be a 4th seed right now.

I doubt it. Phil wants a team to bend over backwards for him, not make him travel road games, and basically suck him off in every opportunity possible. The Lakers might have been a little better than they turned out, but I don't think they could crack a SOLID top 5 of the western conference.

Hmm..you sure about that? Howard, Bryant, and Gasol in the triangle? Plus Nash and Artest for spot up threes? I don't know if this would put them past OKC, but it would seem that you can do a lot with those five players in a proven offensive system that maximizes their abilities.

With all the injuries they had, there's no way they would have finished with a better record than OKC, Spurs, Clippers, Nuggets, or Grizzlies.

It's kind of sad that one of those teams will have to lose in the first round. That's a pretty damn solid top 5.

Why hasn't Jeff Van Gundy gotten back in the business?

They should shoot free throws underhanded, like Rick Barry tried to get Shaq to do.
