This site is terrible, but in a "train wreck, I have no idea what they are talking about, these guys are 'professional bloggers'" type of way I am amused. Be ready for the twist ending at the end.

It may seem like a no-brainer to do so, but on the contrary, don't click "The Top 10 College Boobs Twitter Accounts." Do you remember the psychology experiment about learned helplessness where the dog gets shocked so many times that he stops trying to get the treat and just sits in the corner, exhausted, hurt, depressed, and alienated from the world? By the end, you kind of feel like the dog.

EDIT: Alternatively, do you remember the psychology experiment where the hamster flips the switch that triggers the electrode on the pleasure center of its brain until it doesn't work anymore? You kind of end up feeling like the hamster.

The point is, stay away.

It's one of those, eh? Internet trickery and deceit at its best. "Boobs! Just keep clicking!"

ANyhoo, funny still is the fact that the site "started a war" with the wrong radio show.

Why do you say they make a ton of money?

They have no idea that we’re a billion times stronger and better than them so they lashed out.

Well you said it was a horrible site, and B&B ripped on it, but they are actually pretty successful. And they did get an interview of a guy who can't/won't go on the Score. Kind of funny.

It is a horrible site. It's just a wordpress blog and half the articles are just "Here are pictures of girls". For a blog, it's doing well, but that isn't saying much.

Guess it depends on your definition of doing well. The owner has enough success to live off the site, and enough to pay a handful of bloggers full time. Just look at the ridiculous price Bleacher Report sold for.

Bleacher Report is terrible.

I wish I would have started a terrible sports blog 5 years ago. I'd be a millionaire by now.

Good point.

Id guess at least 60% of them are fake.

Exactly. $180MM for Bleacher Report? That's crazy.

.

It was overvalued, but its not terrible.

Its just a bullshit sports site of lists. Nothing wrong with that.

It's the second worst website in the history of the internet behind LinkedIn. Geocities had better sites back in the day.

Are you talking about the layout quality?

Because the content is not that bad. Probably just as good as any other sports site.

I'm mostly Scoreheading here. I'm not a fan, but it's fine for what it is. The pop-ups are annoying, and whoever approved buying it for $180 million dollars should be thrown off the top floor of their office building. Otherwise, I don't really care about it.

Barstool sports is nothing like bleacher report though. Barstool sports is literally just a wordpress blog. You could pay someone $250 to have the exact same setup by the weekend. The product seems to be as an organizing tool to charge bars money to get people to show up and drink heavily. That's not exactly bleacher report. I doubt CBS or ABC is going to be overpaying to get into that business.

It's pretty amazing that they have gotten as big as they have but it seems like a business that is bound to fail. There just really isn't a product there besides being a party organizer.

The Chive is an actual product though. If someone wants an exact copy of barstool sports, they can pay someone $500 and have it. You can't do that with The Chive or Bleacher Report.

Bigfan should take Redacted and turn it into a barstoolsports like site. We already provide him content for free. He could pay us $5 an article.
