I am not happy with the quality from the cell phone -- way too shaky, the colors are all off, etc.

I would like to get a real camcorder, but I really just want a point and shoot with some cool features.

Amazon has $50 off through tomorrow for HDR-CX220 which will run me $200. A flash card is an extra $30 lets say.

Does anyone have pros or cons to this purchase? If not, feel free to vote on black, red, blue, and silver.

im sure there are some models better then others when it comes to features.. but honestly I doubt youll go wrong with the sony you listed. sony is top-notch when it comes to professional cameras, and a lot of the r&d trickles down to their consumer stuff too.

just make sure you get an extended warranty! the worst part about sony is, if something breaks the parts alone cost as much as the whole camera does. otherwise, I really like the designs they come up with... there is a lot of thought that goes into their broadcast stuff.

Yeah, there are definitely better cameras if you want to spend more money, even in the Sony line. They've got some with a projector built right into it, so you can record and then broadcast it on the wall. Ended up getting it and I've spent about 10 minutes playing with it -- pretty good. Saturday is the little league parade, so that will be the first real test.
