His last special I watched, he told a joke that I didn't think was funny, and he said another joke that I had heard before.

Comedians aren't supposed to do that.

What a douche!

Seinfeld was an overrated television show that never made anyone laugh...and that's not good.

I would say a comedian should be doing at least 75% new stuff if he's touring.

I have no idea.

All I know is that every joke a comedian tells should make me laugh, and every performance he/she gives should not contain a single jok that I have heard before. It should be new material every time he/she takes the stage.

Jerry: I can't believe she threw that out. I had like the perfect wording of a
whole joke I was gonna do about the X-ray counter at the airport, I was gonna do
it on the Tonight Show, now I can't remember it.

George: Well what did you want her to do, you left it on the night table.

Jerry: They're not supposed to just take everything and throw it out!

George: Hey, hey, hey! It's not Lupe's fault, you shouldn't have left it out.

I looked up "scoreheading" in the dictionary and it gave me a link to your post!

I saw George Carlin twice and none of the material he used the 2nd time I saw him was the same as the first. I have seen Larry Reeb (Good ole Uncle Lar) 3 times and MUCH of the material was the same each time. It's true for a lot of stand-up acts. Coming up with new material that works is tough. Thats why I think you see so many guys that tell stories (that are funny) rather than really telling jokes. There is no "puchline" to speak of. It's just a funny story or observation. Chris Rock is funny as hell. But he tells stories and makes observations that provide humor. Not so many joke tellers these days. Rodney Dangerfield....guys like that, TOLD JOKES. Seinfeld is very funny. He's smart and so is his humor. Like the Stones play "Shattered" or "Satisfaction", Seinfeld may use a few signature jokes in a show. As long as there is a good portion of new material, I don't think thats so bad.

You know, I rewatched "Himself" on netflix last weekend and Cosby told the same jokes he did the first time I saw that movie.

RIPOFF!

Within one year,I saw Seinfeld & Leno doing live stand-up. Leno won.

I give both these guys credit for doing about a 90 minute act. To me,that's amazing. That's a lot of pressure.
