I don't want to think our government hurts citizens intentionally, but this still smells to me (and I've had time to calm down) like a False Flag or a fucked up sting or a busted op.

Sorry if it sounds like I've got tinfoil on, I don't, it's aluminum.

Though it's certainly an option and possibility, the fact remains that you, SomeGuy, and Panther blame every one of these types of things on the government.

One of my buddies is like you guys. He even puts a piece of tape over that little camera hole on his laptop.

No I don't. This is the first time I've said anything like this.
I have a well documented case in a thread somewhere here taking on the 9/11 truthers.

Do you have a piece of tape over your laptop hole?

I hope no one takes the easy joke

Actually, I do, but only because when I worked for the last company they'd do webex meetings every week and they'd activate the camera and I tend to work in the nood.

Maybe his/their intention was for the bombs to go off much sooner. Who knows.

But to make the determination that it can't be _____ becasue it happened at a time when less people were there is a little premature...

When will be the right time to say what we believe may have happened? After the media and the rest of the government give us the "official" account?

Of course not. We should make up theories based on nothing but speculation, maybe a minimal understanding of how FBI operations are run and info from a movie I saw once...

Those were serious questions. I've never said THIS is what happened. My theory is based off events that have happened over the past 12 years and the "training" exercise and how quickly they were able to locate the other bombs across the city. I've acknowledge from the beginning that I could be wrong and there are things I don't know and understand. Your post sounds like those people who say we shouldn't have a gun debate after a tragedy. The government isn't always truthful and I'm not one that think they should or expect them to be.

You definitely shouldn't have told him that.

Now he's gonna bug you to Skype with him constantly.

I think the all the Kennedy stuff gets released in 2025.

I did. I said at the time they just taught a bunch of people how to make a bomb. Similar when the treasury tells us the new security features they put on money.

nas, I'm someone who believes that the government has it's own best interests in mind with every decision. That's not to say that they don't dovetail with the best interests of the people most of the time. But they certainly don't make decisions that are great for the population and poor for the government ever.
That being said I don't fully trust the government.
It's like why I don't trust the police. My wife calls them "Land Sharks". they're not looking to protect you when writing you a 75 dollar ticket for a california roll thru a sidestreet stopsign at 2am. They're looking to bring some money into the system.

Barely.

Or maybe if they were white.

I mean its news because of the low number

I didn't say it was a funny situation. They also evacuated LaGuardia Airport in New York earlier this morning, too. Thankfully, the reports of a suspicious package there turned out to be false.

At this point it is random violence. There is nothing to discuss unless you want to tell them that safety is an illusion.

Not sure they'd take that very well.

My daughter was scared to death the other day when an Amber Alert went out even after I explained to her that it was some parent that obviously didn't have full custody of their kid trying to take them away.

She has handled the whole war thing very well. Prays for innocent children and families everywhere who have to deal with safety issues. But sometimes I get reminded that shes only a kid and gets scared by other stuff.

My 5year old son doesn't seem to give a fuck... :D

It turns out the "suspicious package" outside the Omni Hotel in Providence, R.I. wasn't so suspicious. The bag had a laptop in it. All is well. After everything that happened yesterday, every situation is being taken very seriously. Maybe too seriously.

Disagree.

Too serious is internment camps.

Just the right amount of serious is checking bags or packages mysteriously left in places where a bomb could hurt someone...

I stand corrected. After everything that happened yesterday, anytime there's a report of a suspicious package anywhere, it's taken very seriously by authorities.

They did. Usually called it in to the authorities with a code. IRA, UDA, INLA, UVF - all had different codes to alert the media and police so that their faction got credit.
