Bulls play Miami and lose in 6. Miami wins the first 3, Bulls pull off two and Rose returns with limited success.

If you listen to the ESPN Radio/Bulls Radio Network, you know how much Chuck Swirsky & Bill Wennington mention the name Jeff Mangurten on their broadcasts. Jeff is the Executive Producer of the Bulls Radio Network, and is someone I follow on Twitter @JeffGurt. Mangurten tweeted this stat yesterday:

The Bulls are the only team in the NBA this season without a 4 game winning or losing streak.

With that in mind, the Bulls have been more successful in the regular season vs. BOTH New York teams than Indiana. The Bulls are a combined 7-1 vs. BOTH the Knicks & Nets this season, and took 3 of the 4 meetings this season vs. Brooklyn. I think the Nets are the opponent this weekend at the Barclays Center in a #4 vs. #5 matchup and a matchup these Bulls have a much better chance to win than a #3 vs. #6 matchup vs. Indiana.

Yeah, and regular season meetings don't really have anything to do with the playoffs. The Bulls won all 4 Heat regular season meetings in 2011 too.

That's a good point, OKC. I hear ESPNChicago.com's Nick Friedell constantly mention this as well.

Friedell: "Stars win in the Playoffs."

Something else to consider. I heard ESPN/ABC's Mike Tirico mention this yesterday with ESPN Radio's "Waddle & Silvy". Tirico told the guys that Nets' Interim HC P.J. Carlesimo isn't a sure thing to have the Interim tag removed if his team doesn't win in the NBA Playoffs. I've gotta think Carlesimo has earned the job beyond the end of this season.
