I'm not saying he is going to be an ace. I'm saying he could be "good", a #2. Better than Gavin Floyd. Would that surprise anybody?

Frank, he was very good last season for the White Sox. Hard to believe, Jose Quintana was the 26th man in a day-night DH in Cleveland about a year ago...

Yes, I will be beyond shocked if he wins 75 games.

Maybe Im wrong, but I think the reason his ERA when from 2.04 in the first half to 5.01 in the second half is becuase he relies so much on control that if he is off even just a smidge, he is going to get hammered.

That is not a good recipe for starting pitching. He would have to maintain Cliff Lee like control and still catch some luck along the way.

Not historically bad, evidently;

Floyd is coming off his shortest outing of the year and has started a season 0-3 for the first time in his career.

By the way, Quintana got a no decision, not a loss, last Friday in Cleveland. SHARK regrets the error.

Here are the lineups for the third of 4 in Toronto. This is how the White Sox will lineup vs. Blue Jays' lefty J.J. Happ:

30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L)
7 Jeff Keppinger 3B (R)
51 Alex Rios RF (R)
14 Paul Konerko DH (R)
32 Adam Dunn 1B (L)
24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R)
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R)
21 Tyler Flowers C (R)
1 Tyler Greene 2B (R)
Starting Pitcher: 62 Jose Quintana (LHP; No Record, 4.09 ERA)

As for the Jays vs. Quintana...Changes in BOLD.

11 Rajay Davis RF (R)
53 Melky Cabrera LF (S)
9 J.P. Arencibia C (R)
10 Edwin Encarnacion 1B (R)
13 Brett Lawrie 3B (R)
28 Colby Rasmus CF (L)
16 Mark DeRosa DH (R)
3 Maizer Izturis 2B (S)
66 Munenori Kawasaki SS (L)
Starting Pitcher: 48 J.J. Happ (LHP; 2-0, 3.48 ERA)

I meant to convey that he has a history of not pitching well in April.

I think the typical Floyd cycle is bad until mid May, then good until a about the beginning of August and finishing weakly.

Rios absolutely destroyed that ball. It's good to see them knocking around a guy who should be knocked around. Quintana is throwing the ball real good.

Chris Sale & R.A. Dickey toe the rubber in the wrapup at Rogers Centre this eve. Both aces haven't been that so far.

The lineup is in for the finale of the road trip. You'll notice a couple of changes in BOLD for the White Sox vs. knuckleballer R.A. Dickey in Toronto this eve. This is how the Sox will lineup vs. the Jays' righty:

28 Dewayne Wise CF (L)
7 Jeff Keppinger 2B (R)
51 Alex Rios RF (R)
14 Paul Konerko DH (R)
32 Adam Dunn 1B (L)
24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R)
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R)
12 Conor Gillaspie 3B (L)
21 Tyler Flowers C (R)
Starting Pitcher: 49 Chris Sale (LHP; 1-1, 5.21 ERA)

The Blue Jays' lineup is now in. There are some notable changes, and those are also in BOLD. Here's how the Jays will deal with White Sox lefty Chris Sale this eve:

11 Rajai Davis RF (R)
53 Melky Cabrera LF (S)
9 J.P. Arencibia DH (R)
10 Edwin Encarnacion 1B (R)
13 Brett Lawrie 3B (R)
3 Maizer Izturis 2B (S)
1 Emilio Bonifacio CF (S)
22 Henry Blanco(!) C (R)

66 Munenori Kawasaki SS (L)
Starting Pitcher: 43 R.A. Dickey (RHP; 1-2, 5.82 ERA)

The only movement Sale has on the ball is after a bat hits it
