I'd say he's more like one of the Hairstons: good enough to play in the big leagues but really owe their staying power to a patron watching over thier careers.

Watched Jackson in DC last year. Went to see Harper play and he fouled a ball off of his foot in the 1st, and left the game. Game was like 1-0 going into the 8th and it took over 3 hours to finish.

Edwin Jackson? No. Laurence Holmes constantly refers himself to another MLB player. He always mentions himself as "The SCORE's answer to Ben Zobrist." Holmes always brags about bringing several different gloves, not to mention Zobrist's spot in the Tampa Bay Rays' lineup. In plain English, he thinks of himself as The SCORE's utility player.

Just a guess at this point. It was only supposed to be 35 minutes of Holmes, not a full 4 hour evening show, before they postponed the Twins/White Sox game at Noon.

Every time Edwin Jackson loses, I get proven more and more correct.
